  1. My 2023 JT Rubicon "Adventure Vehicle" or Off-Road RV Build

Well, back from an extended trip to northern Minnesota from southwest Georgia in the rig. I had a blast. One thing I added before the trip was a Hellwig sway bar and that made the highway performance stellar, did away with all the roll. The primary purpose of the trip was to explore, test the...
  2. My 2023 JT Rubicon "Adventure Vehicle" or Off-Road RV Build

Sorry it took so long, been on an extended trip in the rig, just getting settled in back home. the are the KO2 35x12.5x17, while they are Mopar rims, they are the 8.5 that I replaced the 7.5s with.
  3. New canopy camper

I am glad to hear there is an option to keep the dust out. That is always a complaint I hear when people have their tailgate incorporated into their camper set-up. I know I get zero dust and zero moisture. I have also heard some complain about moisture/water getting in when the tailgate is used.
  4. New canopy camper

Interesting, I got the Alu Cab Canopy Camper because of the tailgate delete. You cannot seal campers that utilize the tailgate no matter how hard you try, I have yet to see anyone be able to, and the dust from the trail gets into the camper. I have had a few canopy camper style campers in the...
  5. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

What brake upgrades have you all relied upon? I went with the PowerBrake, for my front brakes and it is really impressive. I haven't decided whether I want to wait until they come out with a rear brake kit or go ahead and get a different setup for the rear though, any thoughts?

  7. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

I have had mine now for a few weeks and have spent 6 nights in the mountains of N Ga, NC and Tenn and I am loving it. AVO did the installation. I went with the Dobinsons 3inch HD lift with all its components to include the 3-way shocks and it works perfectly with the camper, even with the water...
  8. Hood Mounted Solar Panels

I agree 100% been running one on my JKUR for a couple of years now.
  9. Hood Mounted Solar Panels

I have a 100w one on my JKUR and have had it for a couple of years now, it works great, I have a Genesis Dual Battery System and run an ARB 50qt Fridge/Freezer plus a good many electronic gadgets in the cab. I can go out after it setting two days and still be over 12.5 or so on my cranking...
  10. My 2023 JT Rubicon "Adventure Vehicle" or Off-Road RV Build

Living in Southwest GA and spending a lot of time all over Florida, I will be first in line for a practical air-conditioning solution.
  11. My 2023 JT Rubicon "Adventure Vehicle" or Off-Road RV Build

I have the Dobinsons 3-inch lift with the HD springs and three-way shocks, and I have no sag at all. I actually softened up the rear shocks for a while, but when I was on the interstate I decided to go back to a stiffer setting.
  12. My 2023 JT Rubicon "Adventure Vehicle" or Off-Road RV Build

I am heading up today to pick it up. If it was in the last couple of weeks when you were at AVO you would have seen my truck. I will be regearing, I am sure. Just wanting to see how it handles before I talk with a mechanic to determine the gearing I want.
  13. Houston to Alaska summer 2024.. and Dalton highway.

I too am planning a trip up that way in the next year or so. There is an Alaska Overlanding group on Facebook that is very helpful in planning. Everyone up there says GAIA is the way to go with regards to maps. From what I understand you have to make reservations to get to the ocean and you...
  14. Smoky Mountain Jeep invasion 2023

I will be picking my truck up in Ashville towards the middle/end of next week and will more than likely head over to Jeep Invasion, just to see what it is like. I will be mainly spending my time in the National Forests of NC, Tennessee and N. Ga. testing out how my new build handles in those...
  15. My 2023 JT Rubicon "Adventure Vehicle" or Off-Road RV Build

You can never have too much fuel when you are out and about exploring.
  16. My 2023 JT Rubicon "Adventure Vehicle" or Off-Road RV Build

THE TRUCK Well, I recently purchased a 2023 Gladiator Rubicon in "Granite Crystal Gray" as the foundation for my build. Due to the "stop sale order" on both standard transmission and diesel versions I had to get the gas automatic transmission version. I knew I was going to be a little bit heavy...
  17. Custom Swing Away Tire Carrier

What tire carrier is this? I am building out a JT with an ACCC and this looks like something I am looking for.
  18. Clayton Off Road JT Suspension Systems

Starting on a JTR build. I will be using the Alu-Cab Canopy Camper, it will also have the water tank, which loaded weighs about 110lb. Will have a fridge, another 75 or so lbs. A Long Range America Aux Fuel tank ( 18 gallons at 6lbs a gallon when full not to mention the weight of the tank) and...
  19. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

What would you do differently to make it ideal? That with Fox 2.5 and a Helwig sway bar is the route I have decided upon for my Truck.
