You have to remember it’s the spring rate that’s different, not just the height. I would assume the ride with the diesel suspension would be a bit harsh if installed in a gasser.
We have two gladiators. My wife’s rubicon has heated leather, my sport has heated cloth. The cloth seats are far more comfortable imho. ( but I don’t tell my wife)
My diesel “sport s“ definitely has narrow axles. My wife has a gas rubicon, so I was able to take some comparative measurements. I also noted the fenders are not as wide on the sport.
