Bronco is reported by a couple insiders to have a truck option as well with a removable top and doors. It will be so expensive though I doubt it impacts Gladiator sales. However, I could see the new Ram mid-size crew cab truck with IFS, luxury interior, 4x4 for 35k (starting price around 25k)...
Well the market has softened for Ranger XLTs. Ford is running serious rebates on them now. One can easily purchase at 10k off. A nearby dealer has a XLT Sport 4x4 with nav and all the safety goodies for under 29k. I'm guessing those who bought last year at 5k off are a little sick to see new...
as others have said, I suggest driving a Rubicon. But to be honest unless you switch the shocks, springs, and coils over you won’t be able to really know. Each trim level has varying combinations. I did notice the lift and more pronounced bounce/sway on the Rubicons over the Sport S max tows ive...
Tim,
You misread. I know the steering issue is across all trim levels. My implication is that if someone buys a JT regardless of trim level that does not have the wandering issue, I would not risk swapping axles, as the steering issues seem to be hitting around 25% of the people according to a...
Yea, different strokes for different folks. You are clearly handier with a wrench than I am. My plan is to buy a Sport S with Max Tow to get the payload, towing, cooling, and braking features I want, while keeping my warranty in tact. I would worry that making changes to the axles would end...
I did read your posts but can’t remember exactly what features the overland has over the Sports S that you mentioned other than the leather seats and the 8”!monitor. Seems like it be easier to take the seats and larger monitor out of a Rubicon or Overland than it would be to swap axle, brakes...
Your money and your choice, but I think the upgrades aren’t enough to justify the cost. You like the way your truck handles and drives, so enjoy it for the next year or so and see if you really need the extra capability. If you do and you really like the Gladiator sell yours and Get a sport s...
I'm still teetering, like daily flip flops between Sport S max-tow, 2020 Silverado w/Duramax, and 2020 Tacoma Off Road w/ 6' bed and LED headlights. Glad you got what you wanted.
I did a poll on this awhile back basically comparing the number of complaints between those with 4.10 and wider axles and 3.73 regular axles. The tally was roughly 25% complained of the issue and could not correct it with 20% having the 4.10/ wider axles. I used the gears because I figured some...
Na, the new Silverado short bed is actually 69" long. Looks like ATV would have fit and at min not had that much weight on tailgate. As far as midsizes go, the Taco and GM twins do have the 6' beds as well.
I think you can get between 4k and 5k off MSRP pretty easy. Lots of dealers on cars.com already have that discount. Some of the dealers here in the DFW area have 30 to 45 gladiators on their lots. Problems is what do you want, almost all of them are loaded Rubicons or Sport S without max tow.
Thanks. You answered my question. What I actually meant is that he should have kept the original ones he had in his truck. I plan to have the tire shop take mine out and put them on the take offs if they dont have them.
