I have a '21 sport S with factory rims and tire size 245/75-R17. Looking at buying Gladiator OEM Rubicon higher priced optional rims that have 315 70 17 (35 12.5 17) BF Goodrich KM3’s. Is there any issues I'd have just bolting the new tires/wheels on? What about speedo calibration?
Thx, Mark
I found an "indented" area on the top surface of the roll bar, to the outside of each of the speakers, that I was able to use as a coat hook recently. Up to now, been laying my stuff on the back seat. In case this might help you! -Mark
May have been asked, but rather than go thru 10 pages of comments here, my lazy ass asks.... do you have to go thru dealer to "build" a 2023 for now? I don't see 2023 build on Jeep website...unless I missed it!
My personal saga... had a 2019 Taco, got rid of it and bought 2021 Gladiator. Reasons = hated the slow, draggy auto trans in the Taco.... lethagic shifts and it always wanted to get to 6th (btw, jeep has 8!)as soon as possible. I assume to meet the EPA gas goals. Secondly, the damn floor...
My tires were inspected and also balanced twice, alignment x2. Tires fixed my problem. Not going to get into an argument here. Just sharing my experience. Dealer says this fixed a dozen Gladiators, including mine. As I said, YMMV.
Just an update on my front end wobble/shimmy issue. After 2 trips to dealer with a thorough check of everything connected to the front end (per their summary invoice of all work), including rechecking all torques, alignment, and tightness of everything, it was fixed with new, beefier tires...
This sounds innate, as it has been forever on other jeep models. Mine will be going in for second time in the next week. I'm doubting they can "fix" design that's set up to resonate by nature. I just don't understand why it was fine for the first 6000 miles, then started. Nothing wears out...
I have this issue. Started at about 6000 mile point. Now at about 9600. I've had it to dealer once and actually, I was impressed with their write up on what was inspected and tested for, along with notes on each component. Unfortunately, given all that, the problem continues and seems to get...
My experience seems contrary to most here. I picked up up my Glad in March and tire pressures from the dealer, via dash reading were all around 41. I never got a chance to reduce to factory recommend. However with the colds temps now, and time, I noticed yesterday that when going over highway...
Hope you didn't break anything, with only 426 miles on the truck.. Here's what the OM says:
Do not tow a trailer at all during the first 500 miles (805 km) the new vehicle is driven. The engine, axle or other parts could be damaged...
I just picked up the new version Weather Techs that are more rubber feeling (flexible too) than the original plastic type feel. I'm very very happy with fit, look, and coverage. -Mark
Tow a 30 ft TT, 6140 dry wt. with a Sport S, Automatic, Max Tow package...little to no gear in truck, just wife and I? Maybe 600-700lbs in trailer. Max of 5-10 gallons liquid while towing. Max trip length probably 600 miles.
Anyone similar experience with feedback or observations? I...
Well, just FYI, I've been looking here for weeks on updates for my Sport S. It *still* says here that the VIN and Sticker were "NOT FOUND". I chatted with them this morning and they told me my truck has completed build and is in QC inspection right now! I guess the check service here is not...
New to the forum and the Jeep world. Ordered my Black Sport S with Max tow last Sat the 9th. Have VON and VIN but no build or order yet shown. Does anyone know what the current cycle time looks like? My dealer said 8-10 weeks, but could be 4-6. Thx, Mark
