sorry If I made it more difficult. Quadratec is right, you can install yourself... but it is not apparently an easy install (I will be attempting this weekend)
After you install, you do need a program to get it operational. you can go to a dealer and they will flash the firmware on your...
you can add the switches later, but it has proven challenging for people. You do not get the hot battery/ignition wires in the cab however.
you will need the switches flashed to work... you can do it at a dealer, or you can buy the Tazer and do it yourself (with other added bonuses)
so I am planning on installing the aux switches here soon... has anyone added battery and ignition fused leads to simulate the factory install options? are they separate fuses, or is there a place in the fuse box to attach to?
Think I found my answer... the battery and ignition hot wires are only there if you have factory installed switches.

So when you get the factory switch option, you get a battery and ignition wire in the cab (I think). Do you get these with a OEM install?
I am curious for other powered items like ham or cb where I don't really want to use an Aux switch for it, but want to be able to use it with the ignition off.
The reality is I don’t want an all in one, I want the parts that can be fixed and replaced independently... but in a nice package. Will we be able to replace 1 part at a time in case of failure?
This sounds great... I am looking for a removable 2 battery system in the bed. Been brainstorming with my dad this weekend as he is a boat guy and has wired up multiple battery systems... we were trying to dream up this! A removable battery, charged by vehicle, solar chargeable, can run a fridge...
this sounds great! What I am hoping to do. What kind of battery are you using in there? How do you have it hooked up to to the vehicle to charge it while driving.. I have been looking for a dual battery system that can be charged via the vehicle and solar.
regarding the power for you radio...
So I ordered a couple brackets, because it should work with my cover, though it is not a Tyger. In the meantime, I got something working... if it doesn't hold, I will just ratchet the back down until the brackets come in.
yeah, I was able to get the 4 towards the front to latch, but the lever handle by the tailgate won't fit under the lip between the rail, and it is not long enough to get it in the rail itself. Tyger sells those brackets separately, so going to order 2 for the tailgate.
In the meantime I am...
thanks... I ordered a rack, but had to cancel it... so I may be interested for something temporarily. how did you attach it to your Gladiator? do you have the utility rails? easy to attach? feel pretty secure?
so I saw this replacement mattress for RTTs... for those side sleepers out there... anyone have an upgraded mattress?

So I asked Fab Fours and here was their reply.
“We did test that and made an additional support bracket that helps with the flex and articulation.
Our design is meant for the “true” overlander so we did everything we could to test and make sure it would handle movement and rough terrain.”
So...
Has anybody purchased the Fab Four overland rack with extension? It does have a more basic A pillar front mount (not just the armor version), but like someone else mentioned, how does it work if the truck bed articulates or flexes? I really like the idea, but unsure how it will work.
I was thinking PowerWagon for quite some time, as I was thinking a full slide in camper for overlanding... I bought the JT however and glad I did... I hit some trails this last weekend in Rio Grande NF... they call them jeep trails for a reason. There were some very narrow trails that the JT was...
