    If you want to do this to your "ump-teen" year old plastic fenders to give them a fresh look, knock yourself out. But I wouldn't recommend this method. It may have a short term benefit, but you're adding a heat history to that plastic that it was not designed to withstand, and it will likely end...

    It still works with the A/C on. If stopped long enough, it starts back up to keep things cool...

    If you're at that point (light on), does it really matter how many miles you have? You've already on the way to a possible issue. So, you'll either make it to the next gas station or you won't. Knowing the mileage becomes sort of pointless.

    How about some type of thing like The Club Steering wheel lock. But it would go around and lock two of the flip handles together so they couldn't open. Could again use a screw in each handle to secure it.
