Just facts dude. New $50,000 + modern automobiles don’t have transmissions that clunk. Yours is less than 1 in 5,000 that are doing this.
Pull your pan and prove to yourself there is no issues.
Sorry to hear. I have been curious as to how successful these rebuilds would be. My rebuild is doing well after 5 months and 5000 miles. It shifts better than ever and my gas mileage has actually improved a little. Sounds like the tech that worked on yours obviously did something wrong.
Drive the shit out of it really hard, especially between 3-4th gears. You will get a funky shift or missed shift. When i got mine, the cel came on, but the truck drove normally. In fact by the time I got it to the dealer the cel had gone off. When the dealer scanned it the p0733 code came up as...
Mine has 37” tires and the dealer covered mine under the powertrain warranty with no issues. The sooner you fix it the better. The amount metal from the d clutch failing will only cause other components to fail. What is a CEL? The D clutch also does the 3-4th gear shift as well, so backing into...
No its not normal. My only symptom was the hard clunk going into reverse. Only on a cold engine. This went on from 23,000 miles to 45,000 miles, when it threw the code. The d-clutch controls the 3to4th gear shift as well as the reverse gear. My fluid was totally burnt and the pan full of...
It will continually get worse. Is not normal.
Luckily you have a long time left on your powertrain warranty. As soon as as you get an error code get it to the dealer. D clutch is bad. They are now rebuilding these and not replacing. This is the latest TSB.
The bell housing is different on the diesel trans. As well at the transmission control module. FYI, give jeep parts depot, in Los Angeles a call. They usually have dealer take offs transmissions for around $1,000, plus shipping. Typically with less than 1,000
Miles on them.
