  1. What are these dimples for?

Call out in the user manual. Those mark the frame rail positions. If you need to mount something, drill along the line of dimples.
  2. New JEEP attire

That is what happens when you do a bathroom remodel for your wife and your smartass friends send 'gifts' 😁 (The bag of ducks sits in the back seat of the Gladiator to periodically place on the Broncos and Xterras of said friends.)
  3. New JEEP attire

  4. Colors matter... especially if you live in the desert

There is a reason all the mine company trucks running around NV are white. And nearly all the local rancher's trucks. We always noticed that when offroading and geocaching across the state. Funny though, I grew up in AZ and have family there. Do not recall the same.
  5. Might be time to change: Ram 2500

It is a 3S actually. Brain-fart on the R3 (which is software I used to work with)
  6. Might be time to change: Ram 2500

🥴 Brain slip from my work history. I used to work on SAP R3 software.
  7. Might be time to change: Ram 2500

Lucky enough to have the best of both worlds here. 2018 Ram 2500 w/6.4hemi here. And the 2025 Gladiator Willys. The Ram gets used as it was intended: hauling gravel, lumber, equipment, trailers. Slide in camper or towing our teardrop trailer occasionally for camping trips. It gets 14-15mpg in...
  8. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

FYI...if you try the link from a Chrome browser, you may or may not get a response. Not sure why, but the recall link does not work on one of my computers from Chrome. I get the page, put in the VIN, it just sits there. Works from Firefox on that computer. Works on Chrome from my work computer...
  9. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

My quip on Redit about the Jeep: My plan is to park in the back pasture. BBQ possibilities then.
  10. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

I would not hold your breath on getting fast turn around from Stellanis on the repair. Have this recall on my 2018 Ram 2500 since Nov 2024! Some (2017-2018 MY Ram xxx) vehicles may have been built with a brake hydraulic control unit ("HCU") that is susceptible to failure or malfunction which...
  11. Need recommendations for engine/transmission skid plate - Lucky my lines didn't bust

Another voice in the Asfir chorus. I bought mine exactly for the reason you are now looking at. My Willys has decent plates on the gas tank and the transfer case, but nothing substantial to guard the engine/trans. I worried about those trans lines especially. I just did a trip up South Park in...
  12. What mod do you hate but won't (or can't) get rid of?

On the topic, the mod I love/hate is the Deck System I put in early on. Very well built. I keep tools, repair gear, small parts in the bins that came with it. When camping, the drawer works great for the stove and other flat-ish gear. The platform is beefy, with tie-downs. Makes it easy to stack...
  13. Auxiliary Water Tank made from PVC fence posts

We are on well water so have one of these in the house. Besides the size, heavy!
  14. Auxiliary Water Tank made from PVC fence posts

    Nice! Thanks for the info.
  15. Auxiliary Water Tank made from PVC fence posts

I have seen several like this made of PVC or ABS pipe. Curious why the fence post instead?
  16. PreOwned RSI Evo Defender

Ah, just realized you said 'molle attachments', not just molle. The molle on the Smartcap is a bit of a PITA. Not standard size. And if you get the bins, the molle size is different there than on the doors! If I get time today I will rummage through my parts to get the brand that I found that...
  17. PreOwned RSI Evo Defender

No third brake light on the SmartCaps for the Glads because ours is in the tailgate. I have the Decked drawer system in the bed, no molle there for me. I am a big 813 Fab fan, so would recommend taking a look at what he has to offer for molle panels for the bed. Likely who I would go with if I...
  18. PreOwned RSI Evo Defender

The Defenders for the Glad are made in SA, so do not typically have all the horror stories you hear on the internet about leaks, paint peeling, etc. Mine has been great this last 6-9 months of fall and winter local use, a couple offroad trips in the desert, including one night with 1" of...
  19. LED lighting

I put a set of these in about six months ago. 15-30 minute install. Pop out the reflectors in the bumper, pop in the Oracle lights. They provide the wiring that plugs into the stock wire bundle. No cutting needed. Good, bright backup lights.
  20. Educate me on Solid State

Ditto here on the visibility, being visible. Lights for backing up and for night offroading. Running lights front and sides and (soon) more in the rear for visibility in fog, snow storms, dust on the trail. I went with the AuxBeam box because of price. I have a pricy Voswitch I bought years...
