  1. 12 Volt power in the bed

When you say "50amp" and "anderson" in the same post, I am assuming you mean the 50amp Anderson connector and not that you are actually running 50amps of current. The TrailerVision setups for the Anderson are worth looking at. Available on Amazon and on the PowerWerx link that Limestone...
  2. Camper shell suggestions.

I have a RSI SmartCap. Came as a kit that I assembled and installed but there is a installer network if you want someone to do it for you. I have the Defender model. No windows. Other models have different combos of windows, etc. I live on dirt roads in western Montana. Been offroading with it a...
  3. Tailgate leakage - waterproofing with gaskets

@ShadowsPapa Is this the product you used? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IPQWXZQ/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A26GQRWSJVLGWV&psc=1
  4. The Lighting Mod You Didn’t Think You Needed (But Now Can’t Live Without)

Not sure, so double check me here. But I think you need to feed into a relay like ChrisNLA described to keep the circuits separated, even with the relay on the AUX wires. Otherwise there is a loop with the backup wires and the AUX line. Something like that. Wiring gurus need to weigh in.
  5. Show me your AuxBeam (or similar) FUSE BOX

I have several of Jeremy/813's mounts. I can vouch for his gear! Good quality, fit is excellent, he is quick to get you the parts. I have both the fender mount and the firewall mount for the ARB pump. (Bought the fender one, then decided I needed the space for the Voswitch.) Recently got his...
  6. Show me your AuxBeam (or similar) FUSE BOX

Thanks! This helps me in any case! I plan on moving my Voswitch U120 from the retired Xterra to the new Gladiator. Was hoping it could wedge in there where you have yours. I had to mount it under the dash of the Xterra, which was not convenient. I have a home-made power distribution setup on the...
  7. Navigation and app showing wrong location

Ditto on the possible solar activity interference if your issue has been recent and not a long term problem. The solar activity is definitely messing with comms and GPS with the big solar storms this year, at least the civilian versions. I have a Garmin GPS in my Jeep and one in my Ram truck...
  8. Anderson Plug / Connector in bed.

Have a setup like that on my Xterra and it is on the list for the Gladiator. As others have said, connection for frigs, winches, jump start. I also use a line like that to run power to my teardrop offroad trailer battery charger. Can get a better current off the heavier wires going from the...
  9. Reduce Noise with interior roof panels install?

Another vote for the Hotheads and Sound Assassin product. And @JKenTex...Montana here. Hot rarely an issue here. 😁
  10. UP TO 30% OFF | Black Friday Sale | 11/21-12/2

I like your products btw! Have several lights and bulbs (my original intro to your brand) on my old Xterra. A buddy just booked over a grand on the sale for his new Bronco after I pointed him your way. Good stuff!
  11. UP TO 30% OFF | Black Friday Sale | 11/21-12/2

You should have a chat with your marketing folks. Clicking on the "Shop Now" should take me to the site, not just a popup of the ad shown bigger. Clicked around the post above. Could not find a link to the sale.
  12. So Cal locals- Berdoo Canyon to Joshua Tree Geology Tour Road- Tire concerns

CA escapee here, from Santa Clara up north. (MT since 2019) I have spent a lot of time offroading around SoCal, AZ, NV, Sierras, Inyos, DV. I don't know what it is, but the idiot density between Barstow and Yuma seems to increase as you go southeast, with Joshua Tree NP being a hotspot...
  13. Smoked a Moose

Glad you are OK. Actually, that does not look bad considering you hit a moose! Must have just clipped them. A quip I have heard (paraphrased)... "Hit a deer, insurance claim. Hit an elk, hospital visit. Hit a moose, morgue." Yeah and that suggestion about the loop on the bumper: maybe it...
  14. Desert camping and mine exploring

Greetings from Stevi! I grew up in Apache Jct AZ (Class of '76) Agree on the mines in AZ and NV. Though I bet the ones here have a lot fewer snakes, scorpions, black widows, and bats. :)
  15. How the ESS / battery system works - 3.6 engine

Nice! Clear. Concise. With data. Thanks!
  16. SmartCap Questions

Just a side note. From following the SmartCap forums on FB, get one made in South Africa. (SA at the end of the part number) North America builds have been having major quality issues: paint, latches, fit, etc. That said, given what I see overall on the forums, SmartCap customer service is very...
  17. Dashboard mounted dash cam - Need suggestions

Turns out, I have a photo I sent a friend earlier. Here is what the BullitPoint setup looks like.
  18. Dashboard mounted dash cam - Need suggestions

I put in a BullitPoint picatinny rail on my dash. Mounted a phone holder, a Garmin GPS, and a Wolfbox i05 dashcam. It has worked out well. I found a flat plat that goes on the BullitPoint arm. Then used the sticker/plate on the i05 that normally goes on the window to mount to that. Was able to...
  19. Tires C load to E load ride quality

C will be fine since you're mostly a daily driver. If you were towing or hard offroading, the stiffer sidewalks of the Es would be a benefit. I swapped my oem Firestone MTs for KO3s. I've been using the KOs on various vehicles for years. Great tire. Make sure to get them road balanced the KO2s...
  20. Wireless switches, what are you using?

Hear you on the wiring!! That warranty does not sound like much of a warranty if you have to essentially pay for it again. Have you tried contacting Trigger directly instead of through Oracle? Wondering if the middleman is the issue.
