Recently traded my 4xe for a 2020 Gladiator Mojave. Who ever had it before me did tons of great upgrades. One was an Anderson connector in the bed where the 110 should come out. It appears to run to the battery.
Any idea what this would be used for? I’m guessing some sort of overland setup.
Thanks for the help.

Any 12v DC power needs, especially charging portable power stations or a distribution block for other camping accessories, some power managers take them. Some camper setups will take a large Anderson. I would just make sure the wiring is fused near the power source under the hood.

I just 3D printed a cover with an integrated Anderson Plug for my setup. I'll be running a Bluetti from the 40% Rear Seat Delete to the bed. 12v Anderson to my power center for all my crap I'm tossing back there.

Possibly a 12 volt fridge.
This is my set up albeit I don’t have an Andersen set up. Just be careful if it is going to your trucks battery that you don’t leave it plugged in overnight and wake up to a dead battery…🤣

What a hack job they left you 😂

Yea. For any reason you may want 12V back there.

They could have at least installed it with something like this:

That's what I want to do so I can plug my car hauler winch to the truck battery. It's not a HD winch, it's a 2,500 pound ATV winch, but that would be ideal for it. Neighbor suggested a battery on the trailer, but then there's risk of theft, having yet another battery to take care of.
I like the connector thought a lot better and could run some beefy cables to the front.

The Anderson plug also opens other options. Like a set of jumper cables out the rear.
I installed one on our service truck. Jump starting other rigs was so much easier, no opening the hood, just plug it in and hook to the other rig.

Have a setup like that on my Xterra and it is on the list for the Gladiator. As others have said, connection for frigs, winches, jump start.

I also use a line like that to run power to my teardrop offroad trailer battery charger. Can get a better current off the heavier wires going from the battery to the anderson to the charger than what comes through the 10g line on the trailer plug.

No one has mentioned this yet, perhaps it's presumed to be common knowledge; Anderson connectors come in different sizes/ ratings for voltage/ amps. Make sure you get the appropriate size. They are also color coded. I have three different colors on my home-made camping battery box: a gozinta, a gozouta and an extension cord for the diesel heater. Got them from Powerworx
