  1. Drilling Out the ‘Trail Rated’ Badge for External 120V Inlet?

I installed my Noco plug in the rear bumper, but I typically back into my parking spot at the house. The Super Auto Eject might fit in the rear bumper near where mine is. Not sure about the front. Its waterproof though so it doesnt have to be completely hidden away.

  3. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

I have three (a 22LR, a 5.56, and a 300BLK SBR) so i just wanting something more classic. Oh, and I took my truck to Home Depot for more honey-doing 😄
  4. What is going on here with pricing.

I can only assume the Wrangler 2 door is a victim of its low take rate at this point. I think its 10-15% of JL sales. Very few people want them, and it's not gonna get cheaper to build them when the sales are low.
  5. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

I love the M1's but don't really want to stock another ammo, and find them to be a tad heavy for me. So - eventually adding a Mini 14 to the collection for the approximate feel / style.
  6. The love is gone

😍 I detest spending time in the French Quarter, but I'm glad you guys get to experience good eatin' 😄 And I agree. The kids are big gumbo eaters but I'm more beans and rice myself...
  7. The love is gone

You don't have to convince me. My other car has a 6.2L V8, lol - and I like that the Pentastar, for all its faults, is relatively easy and affordable to repair. And I don't trust any turbo motor from Stellantis yet, unless its painted red and takes the green nozzle.
  8. The love is gone

The 3.0 uses a compacted graphite iron block along with a forged rotating assembly and forged pistons, like your Cummins. It 'only' runs at about 18 PSI of boost or less. I mean, pretty sure the 3.0's have aluminum heads, so there's that. Ford learned a lot in their earlier Ecoboost engines...
  9. The love is gone

I really think comparing the Ranger Raptor to the Gladiator (idk, the Mojave?) for this is a bit like comparing buttholes to elbows. They both are qualified to be offroad, and both have their strong suits. The good news though, is that Casey 250 is living rent free in a lot of heads now, and...
  10. Chris's Sport S Max Tow - Boring Daily 'Build'

We plan to pick up a 10KW inverter generator to power the house. But power outages are frequent-ish in our neck of the woods. Usually in the winter and spring when spin-up storms roll through. And every 7-10 years we get one that lasts 1-3 weeks. Lovely hurricanes.

I think I'll get one before we go back to the race track in February. I don't believe we are camping this time. We're gonna grab a hotel or ABnB since some non camping friends are coming - but we're gonna use my camp site at the track to tailgate all day. So having some power on hand will be nice.
  12. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Sure looks different than the Picayune near me 😄
  13. The love is gone

I'll say, when it comes to more difficult off roading, it amuses me immensely to see folk in IFS vehicles go into full panic mode when their stuff starts abruptly teetering and balancing over relatively mild obstacles because it has no flex, and then a JT or JL traverses the same thing without...
  14. Are 35" tires the best for the Gladiator?

Honestly, I find the 35's with the 2.5" lift to be perfect. In real world use it's possible you may be able to get more flex with the 35's than the 37's before stuffing them into the fender. It's always a trade off. Is the 1" additional ground clearance more useful? Is the potential for more...
  15. Trumgeta bed molle panela for $61 with free shipping

It appears that the kit includes both panels for both sides and all the hardware. The description is a bit confusing.
  16. The love is gone

Watching / listening while I work. I don't watch Casey250 really, so I don't know much about how he uses his vehicles. I do like how he said they may just buy a Wrangler to build for their rock crawling to fill the hole the Gladiator is leaving 😄 Getting through the rest to see the rest of...
  17. Chris's Sport S Max Tow - Boring Daily 'Build'

Yea, I reckon we will pick up a Bluetti or an Ecoflow for keeping things portable. All about flexibility - sometimes to the point where it's a pain in my ass.
  18. Trumgeta bed molle panela for $61 with free shipping

I agree - a single piece panel would have been nice. I bet the mounting clips are the same material / thickness though. With one material they aren't switching materials on the laser as much. Making the tabs separate probably allows them to nest parts tighter as well - get more junk out of one...
  19. Are 35" tires the best for the Gladiator?

35's are fine with 4.10s (so I have heard) if your truck has them. A friend of mine, he had 35s on his first Gladiator, then 37s, swapped the 37's to his second Gladiator, then went back to 35s. His third Gladiator I believe is on 35s. For a truck that he daily drives, pulls a trailer with...
  20. Chris's Sport S Max Tow - Boring Daily 'Build'

Update: Starlink runs for about 30 minutes with the truck off before it doesn't like the voltage and shuts off. Once it is direct to DC vs running through the inverter it may last longer. Less power waste. But the morale of the story is if something happens to the truck and it won't run and I...
