As someone who was just in your boat, let me tell you this. Take your time and order exactly what you want. You took the time to save the money, why go and buy what someone else wanted? I saved until I was ready, placed my order, then kept on saving until delivery so I could get all the...

  4. tubular lightbars in a world of cookie cutter brackets.

So I had the same thing happen. I actually took them apart and repainted them then added a UV clear coat. the result was what's in the picture that was taken 7 years later. they held up great.
  5. tubular lightbars in a world of cookie cutter brackets.

true, but Ill admit i like the functionality of it. adding grab handles on ti is pretty unique and I like that. And this is the reason I would not get it. In the end, its just not what I'm looking for, I simply cant bring my self to like the way it attached to the Jeep. It looks like Fab...
  6. tubular lightbars in a world of cookie cutter brackets.

For anyone interested, I did find these which are more along the lines of what I'm looking for. I'm not a huge fan of the way the mount looks but it could be a contender. NEW! JL Tubular Windshield Light Bar Mount | 2018+ Jeep Wrangler Forums (JL / JLU) - Rubicon, Sahara, Sport, Unlimited -...
  7. tubular lightbars in a world of cookie cutter brackets.

These are really similar to what I had (minus the brackets for a very specific model proprietary light set.) I have gone so far as to reach out to Rugged ridge and enquire about them (the model that you posted). They actually responded saying "Not that exact design but we are working on a...
  8. tubular lightbars in a world of cookie cutter brackets.

This is not out of the question and I'll admit I haven't considered it. While I think its well out of my level It could be fun to work with a shop in designing a bracket. I'm sure it would interest them to know they could be the first on the market to develop one.
  9. tubular lightbars in a world of cookie cutter brackets.

The funny thing is that I was actually looking at the Metal Cloak Pro front hoop and would even consider them as there doesn't seem to be many option on the market right now except I am not at all a fan of the contraption at the base of it. It reminds me of those overly aggressive sun visor and...
  10. tubular lightbars in a world of cookie cutter brackets.

Yeah I saw that, not a snowball chance in hell I'm spending that much money for a lightbar. And if I recall, the bar its self was brackets and not tubular which is what I'm going after.
  11. tubular lightbars in a world of cookie cutter brackets.

Better believe it. lets just say I was on a budget but they worked out beautifully. I get there are more expensive options out there but I never had a problem with these. One or two of the diodes might go out but it still threw out a great light and if it got too bad, you just replace it. The...
  12. tubular lightbars in a world of cookie cutter brackets.

I'm looking for a tubular light bar that I can mount round lights on over the windshield. Honestly I'm looking for something similar to what I had on my JK but all I seem to find are brackets for LED Lightbars which I don't want. This one was a Rugged Ridge which I loved. I reached out to them...
  13. Lift kit brand advice for 3.5

When I had my JKU I installed a 2.5 inch budget lift and ran into all sorts of issues with geometry and corrections. when it was all said and done, I had spent more money correcting/reinforcing everything then if I had just gone with a premium lift so this time around I want a complete kit...
  14. Long night, weird question....

Lot of security options out there. In addition to having a home security system, I also Installed some Arlo security cameras. These things are great and can be monitored from anywhere so long as you have the password since they are cloud based. They are wireless so long as you remember to...
  15. For all you Jeeple...

skit or not. Don't be the one guy who uses a Jeep rally to make a political statement. I don't care what your political affiliation is, keep it to your self and wave a Jeep flag instead. (looking at you "Go Topless Day" 2019 in Bolivar Peninsula).
  16. Delivery Dilemma

Gobi, That's a solid argument. My first Jeep was an 07 JKU Sahara. I would be lying if I said I didn't want the Rubicon however the reality of it is that it would be a waste in my driveway. I did order this sport S the way I wanted it but I cant tell you how many times I tried similar...
  17. What do u have coming in the mail?

  19. Delivery Dilemma

So is there a kit to convert the fender lights to LED like the Rubicon? all the kits I see on Quadratec or either replacement or only for the Rubicon fenders. Edit if anyone is following. I called Quadratec and they reassured me that the LED fender lights can in fact be placed on the Sport S...
  20. Delivery Dilemma

I think if its still there at the time of delivery, ill take a good long comparison of the two and decide then.
