Glad this got revisited with some folks, I actually spoke with Nitro, they canned the 4.30 gears….. unfortunately…. I ended up going with 4.56, I have 50 more miles until “break in” is complete, It’s nice! the RPM difference in 8th gear went from 1950ish to 2250 ish at 80-85mph My MPG went up...

  5. Long Arm Brand Selection

The RK kit has really been great, like i said the only complaint i have is the continuous greasing, and i feel since they are often "misaligned" when you grease them they probably aren't properly greased the majority of the time, but im here on the west coast i just don't like how loud there...
  6. Long Arm Brand Selection

I just feel their product doesn't contain much thought, astatically, as to design i just don't know how seriously i can take a company seriously with their square shock invention contraption, i just believe there is a right way to do something and there is a way to fill grey areas, which i feel...
  7. Long Arm Brand Selection

Interesting! i always thought WFO was huge on the Cherokee, i dint realize they had a long arm kit for the gladiator, i wonder how that cross member would work, i know i had to remove my front cros member with my 4.5" lift i will need to speak with them and see where exactly this one is located...

  9. Gearing for Gladiator EcoDiesel

Yeah im not sure what the deal is! my rack is half height so mostly everything is out of the wind stream i just know its heavy, i can get 4 people to lift it off my jeep with all the accessories off of it and its a struggle.. last time i took it off I used a forklift! im running the HD EVO...
  10. Gearing for Gladiator EcoDiesel

I did remember calling these guys and seeing this on their site, i agree with the regearing, my only concern was go with the 4.10 wait for the 4.30s or go with 4.56 i still think 4.56 is to high for what im trying to achieve
  11. Gearing for Gladiator EcoDiesel

Great looking jeep! I can’t get anywhere near 20 mpg not sure if it’s my weight or what, I have a med height rack as opposed to yours being over the cab I know my bed rack is extremely heavy when I’m loaded with my camp gear I really struggle I find it kind of struggling when non loaded...
  12. Gearing for Gladiator EcoDiesel

Were all ready for the Nitro 4.30s...... LOL
  13. Gearing for Gladiator EcoDiesel

I think your right. I think that accurately matches the gearing tool that Bluescapegoats posted, the 4.10 and 4.30 are really best options to retain factory gearing performance, now we just all need to call Nitro gear and get these things pushed out already... lol
  14. Gearing for Gladiator EcoDiesel

My weight must be restricting my MPG lol there's no way i can get more than 18-19 Highway currently, at least not in my area/freeways ill have to do an average on my next long trip
  15. Gearing for Gladiator EcoDiesel

damn that is a cool tool!!!! so i plugged everything in.... from its calculations 4.30 is the absolute closest to factory when compared to the 4.10 and 4.56 in my jeeps scenario..... it seems only off by 100-130 RPM the 4.10 seems really close, slightly under! Thanks for this!!! great info!!!
  16. Gearing for Gladiator EcoDiesel

Im glad you said it!! i spoke with a couple shops... it seems like the local shops are just used to hearing, jeep gears = 4.88-5.13 without any knowledge of diesels. i was heavily debating just going with the 4.10 as you mentioned but t doesn't seem enough for what the install cost. im really...

that's a cool page! although i have no idea how to use it lol. how bout them 37's? :) debating on where i need to go for my set up! if the 4.56goes with 40's its sounding like 4.10 - 4.30
  18. Gearing for Gladiator EcoDiesel

I knew your name looked familiar.... we follow each other on Instagram! LOL
  19. Gearing for Gladiator EcoDiesel

I have been patiently waiting..... maybe if we get enough of us to call them they would hurry it up!! they actually have the ring and pinion for the rear but no the front, apparently once they have them in they can make some gear sets... if you do call Nitro gear... speak with Al, ext 157... hes...
  20. Gearing for Gladiator EcoDiesel

Thanks for the response! I think if i didn't have the rack it may be ok? really where i feel the drag and lack of gearing is when I'm fully loaded with camp gear, a slight incline it starts to hunt for gears, which makes me think it cant be to far off from where it needs to be? that's great...
