  1. Auxiliary Port Plug Jack Modification for RJ45

I was looking for the same and chose to install a flush(panel) mount RJ45 port into the plastic panel (door?) in front of the shifter on the center consul. The part that can be removed for manually releasing the shifter (pull the orange tab) into neutral. I was able to pull the part out, cut the...
  2. GMRS users

The only exception that comes to mind is if your in the GMRS channels that the FRS radios don't pick up... 15-21 if i recall correctly. I too chose to get the license and be done with it. Small price to pay for lack of any stress about it.
  3. Storage cubbies for doors?

This doesn't answer the question of storage, but if more exterior color on the inside and outside wins you some points you might check out these guys. They have all sorts of body colored parts to swap. Sure we could all DIY but this is far easier and better workmanship than I would do myself...
  4. Wrangler 4XE charge port cowl repurposed for ARB on-board air connection

OK thanks, that kills pretty much all my ideas lol. oh well. It's a great looking mod. At least yours is wired through the ignition so flipping the switch on the outside doesn't do anything if the truck is off.
  5. Wrangler 4XE charge port cowl repurposed for ARB on-board air connection

Is the door frame metal with a plastic panel on the outside or is the whole thing metal? I'm thinking @Threedom would make a killing making replacement covers with all sorts of designs more fitting to our taste... that is if the outer part of the door is plastic. (Edit: Looking back at...
  6. Towing Report: CA to AZ, 37s, 4.88 gears, 4k trailer. 9.8MPG

Pic of your truck? I've been considering this same lift and tire combo. What 'better sway bar system' are you referring to? Did you choose to do airbags after towing and seeing issues or preemptively?
  7. Visor Problem - Solution

It looks like the kits with single screw versions come with four plates. I can only see a use for two, what are the other two for?
  8. LIMITED EDITION BAND-AID STICKERS! ?

Are these bed dividers? As in boards that fit in the the 2x8 slot for holding plywood and keeping stuff from sliding back into the bed? They look like 3/4" which would be too thin, but maybe?
  9. M.O.R.E. Dead Pedal: More than a foot rest.

For those of you with the MORE dead pedal... it looks like it has space under it. Is there room to still put your foot flat on the floor with your toes under it if desired? I really like being able to put my foot flat on the ground or at least have more than one position. Also is there room...
  10. Can't unsee it

Yeah mine too. As does my daughter. Her exact words when we saw one “OH PINK JEEP! Daddy I want a pink Jeep when I am old!” ?
  11. Driving in 2 feet of snow

damn, those are some serious chains. I've never seen them with the studs/spikes.
  12. Can't unsee it

Not quite, too light. Tuscadero is a deeper shade, see attached.
  13. One Car AI Box - Is This a $400 Alternative to Insane Audio?

I think the difference here is in the design. Our Google/Apple/Samsung phones are designed by quality companies in US, S. Korea etc.. They have control over the manufacturing, at least indirectly. As opposed to a device quickly and cheaply designed and manuf. in China without much in the way of...
  14. Jeep Adventure Academy

It's expensive, but I think it'll be worth it. I'm signed up for Hollister Hills, on 2/23. It'll be a good time, but mostly I'm doing it for some additional experiance before I hope to do the Rubicon JAA in the fall.
  15. Custom Steering wheel & HVAC trim panels

I'm interested. In my case I'm looking for Hydro blue of my exterior. How close do you think you could get to that colors, I understand it wouldn't be a metallic finish? Would some sort of color chip / chuck of a scrap part be possible for evaluation of color? Ideally texture too, but that...
  16. A different kind of question about tonneau covers…

I have a 6yr old and can say for sure you're going to want some sort of cover. As others have mentioned you don't want to try to cram a stroller in the back with the baby. Regarding a tonneau vs a softopper, that largely depends on how big of a stroller you have, and how much time you want to...
  17. Radiator Fan Removal - How to? cleanup after some mud.

Interesting, good to know. I was wondering about the pulleys. Is the idler pulley easy to replace? It “sounds simple”… but we all know how that can turn out when you have never done it before (like me).
  18. Radiator Fan Removal - How to? cleanup after some mud.

I took the fan/shroud assembly out along with the air box and air intake tube (thing). I had pretty good access to my alternator and it’s in visibly good shape. I hosed off the alternator with a hose (not a pressure washer) to clean it up a little more. No signs of issue. I also cleaned the fan...
