Thanks for the response. I think I might just go with a long arm kit and some decent shocks and hydro bumps. I don't want to transform this new adventure rig into a full on fab project just yet. My tacoma had alot of custom fab and it is cool when you live in SoCal, but its a nightmare when you...
Gone are the days of being a small company and being able to fully produce in America. Some will eventually sell out to VC america. Its basically the same as Bestop aquiring Baja Designs, and Softopper, which then is owned by Kinderhook Industries. Kinderhook is some NY VC firm.
I will check...
As long as your shock lengths are correct. The long arm should give you more travel when paired with springs or coilovers. It will also correct the geometry at full articulation due to how little the axle moves during the suspension arc.
Has anyone bought this yet? I am mainly interested in this kit for the greater amount of travel. I come from having a long travel IFS rig. I would probably only run 35's as I don't see the need for 37's. Am I correct in assuming that I dont need any driveline mods with only running a 3.5"...
I have been scouring the internet trying to find info on why people hate teraflex. It seems like the JL community likes them and then others say they are complete garbage without any explanation. Some comments mention a 'harsh' ride. They don't give an explanation about the entire suspension...
Recently got a 23' Rubicon and I had to jump mine last week. Jumped it with my power pack and then drove it around. I had the dealer test the batteries and they were fine.
I plan on adding ring terminals and a fuse to the main battery and then adding some sort of amphenol connector with plug...
So, I had to jump my JT the other day. I used my power brick without issue. I took it to the dealer later in the week. I had the. Stress test the batteries and they passed. I also send them this particular TSB since two error codes were found when they downloaded from the vehicle. Those codes...
Been on some various wheelin trips over the past month. Definitely like this rig so far.
Went down to moab the first week I got it. Tried to do top of the world, but the first major ledge was completely covered in ice and didn't want to attempt without having my full belly skid.
Went down...
Made a set of front mud flaps. I decided to make my own after looking at other options (rokblokz). these ones will actually be safe when wheeling on rocks. I had leftover .090" abs and some Butyl sheet from another project.
Just need to make the other side.
So I am new to jeeps. I come from wheeling my 2011 long travel Tacoma for the past 12 years that had both front and rear long travel. This suspension setup had 14" of travel up front with 18" in the rear. I am used to driving fast off-road and was not afraid to hit g-outs at speed.
I have...
Have a 23' Rubicon and today(2300 mi) while wheeling I saw both those lights on for a brief moment. I turned the JT off and they were both off when I restarted.
I have been switching between 4hi and lo all along the remote utah trail system and have been driving thru mud and snow . I managed...
So in the confirmation email from GFC, why do I have to remove my bed rails before the install? I removed them before getting my bed line-x and haven't reinstalled them yet.
Do they provide new rails or do they need to shim them or something?
I have been following dirtliftstyle on YouTube for a while and I couldn't agree more with his opinion.
I just sold my 2011 Tacoma. I had put in $12k worth of long travel suspension (both front and rear) along with a regear and other misc mods. Simply put jeep is a better offroader out of the...
Installed the goose gear back seat delete (both 60 and 40%). It came mainly assembled which was surprising.
Our medium sized doggos have plenty of room with the back seats removed!
So guess I am SOL.. my wife and I were looking forward to that hotspot. We only have 12gb with Verizon, but it's nice to have other carriers. Seems like when Verizon doesn't work, our work phones would 'work'. I used to have a t mobile work phone and my wife has ATT.
We were looking forward to...
Any updates to this ? I got a 2023 Rubicon and when I try to sign up for an unlimited plan, the ATT site says that my vehicle is not compatible. The 4g service definitely works because the screen has a 4glte symbol and bars.. I just want to sign up for this service.
Seems like the Stellantis...
