Really impressed with how much the steering feel has improved after the RPM steering kit was installed. Makes it fun on back roads and requires no micro inputs to keep it in your lane at highway speeds. Probably my favorite mod so far!
Nope. Not rated for diesel at all. They are rated by the amount of lift (range given by Fox is 2-3”).
yes, they independently adjustable for both low speed and high speed at each corner. In fact, I could barely find any information about how to tune these damn things. Google, YouTube, this...
I still have healthy mods list:
Tint
Bed-liner (Line-X)
GMRS Radio (Yaesu FTM-400)
Paint roof black
Winch (Warn Zeon 10-S) backordered
Lights (KC Flex Era 4’s)
Bed Rack (Nut House)
Tent (Condor XL)
Fridge
Solar Panels on top of hard shell tent
Electrical Panel in bed
Etc . . .
I completely agree with bleda2002. The Clayton 2.5 is closer to 3", especially on a gas motor due to less weight up front (300 - 400 lbs). Add your fender chop on top of that and you'd fit 38's no problem.
I stuck with 37's because for me, they are the perfect balance between off-road...
Yes sir and no rubbing at full lock. I can't comment regarding articulation yet. I'll have to report back when I get back from vacation and have a chance to stretch it's legs ;-)
thanks man - appreciate the compliment.
I have the Fox Perf Elite 2.5 Reservoir Adj. Shocks. They pair really well with the Clayton kit. The Falcons were $1,700 for all four. But, the diesel version of that shock was not in stock anywhere. Teraflex wouldn’t even give an estimate when they would...
1). Yes. The rear sensors do not work perfectly since they sometimes beep in reverse when nothing is around. . You can aim/adjust them by reaching up into the bumper. I’ll give it a try and report back.
2). No, it’s not rubbing. I have adequate clearance for the rear fenders.
3). No, it’s...
The shocks are much better than stock. I found the power-train to be solid but the suspension was too soft and the steering was vague with poor on-center-feel. I think the heavy diesel made things feel worse than the lighter gas variants. The Fox shocks and steering stabilizer have a lot of...
Yes, I do have a little bit of concern that the tire could be exposed to too much heat. However, it was a calculated risk until I get a bed rack to mount the spare in. I’m contemplating leaving the spare at home unless I’m off-road. I’m open to hearing any real-world opinions on this topic.
Thanks!
Sorry, I didn’t respond to the question regarding if this it Diesel specific.
No, the Clayton kit is not diesel specific. However, two things:
Since the diesel motor is 300-400 lbs heavier, we used a 3/4” spacer to get the stance correct. Also, if you want to use Falcons shocks, you must get...
