    Shouldn’t be rust.... but paint adhesion still isn’t right, whatever the reason. Warranty should cover you, so it’s just a headache.... not the end of the world.

    Tailgate hinges on JL are magnesium for sure... not sure about where or if it’s used on JT.

    Are the hinges even steel? Try a magnet on them.... door hinges are aluminum or magnesium I think.

    People are spoiled today. Our grandparents transversed this country in model t’s and model a’s. Before that, covered wagons. A JT would have been a gift from God to them.

    Went from an 11 Cummins ram to a JL.... wasn’t towing heavy anymore. Wrecked JL and got JT.... don’t miss driving the school bus one bit, and I’m a big guy.

    I’m a Gibson man. No holes drilled, just replace one existing screw with one and a spacer, available for either side of floor console, and excellent workmanship.

    Well, just going by the title.... the JKU is gone anyway, so it’s a moot point. the JLU and JT are comparable, but different. If you need an open bed... get a JT.... if you need enclosed storage, get a JLU or put a topper on the JT.....it basically falls on wheelbase and towing capacity. I’ve...
