Agree 100%. @Sublime Is there a reason you want that much lift? Looks? Off-roading? A quality 3” lift is much more cost effective if you are just looking to run 40s. Once you get beyond 3” you need to look at driveshaft, lines, all 8 control arms.

I should have mentioned that was on the “Punk’n” build. At the time FCA was having a little trouble with the color matching on the plastics.

Options definitely affect scheduling and timing. Especially when part availability has been spotty. On my previous build it was spray in bed liners and color matched fenders that seemed to cause the most hold up for people.

Yeah it was a really tough decision. But the bright lime greens are my favorite color. My previous Jeep was a Hypergreen JK and I always wanted a Gecko JKU 12-13. The real reason for me was the diesel though.

Found out my build is in framing today. I believe that is “E” code. Original shipping date was Sept 17th (tomorrow). So I’m hoping it still makes it to my dealer by the end of the month!

I ran the numbers between Grupton and Spencer in Iowa. They came out very close considering the additional doc fees Grupton charges over Spencer. In the end my local dealer matched the 5% under that Spencer quoted and his $100 doc fee. So I would only have saved about $250 going to Grupton...

How did they know you changed gears?

JL gecko opened in early May and took about 2.5 months before they really started showing up if I remember correctly.

Why not order with a dealer that doesn’t care if you take delivery? Hard for many dealers to get lot inventory and sold orders get priority. So placing an order should be no risk to them. That will buy you 2ish months to see what Jeep does and you can decide then if you want it or wait for 22...
