I’ve had both, and I am driving a 2022 diesel gladiator. The 3.6 failed me the first time, and was on its second engine. The diesel has great power, and just walks right up the hills. I drove from Portland through the gorge to Idaho yesterday. I averaged 23.5 mpg at 75mph. My 3.6 would only get...
Yes sir, really shitty odds. I can post videos if you like, it’s not normal. My thought is I didn’t get a new motor the second go, it was a rebuild. I hope the diesel is good also, but I put a 6 year / 100k bumper to bumper on this one for piece of mind.
They are off of a Jeep Sahara. I had them with a set of mounted 35’s as my spares, they look good to me. I kept stuff from my 2020 that I moved over to this one. You don’t realize how much money you’ve spent until you sell you’re old one. ?
….and bought a 2022 Eco Diesel! This is the motor they all should come with. I was on my second motor with my 2020 and it started knocking again. It was time for a change for sure.
Mine sounded the same, with a huge knock. Motor blew at 35k, new engine is getting noisy also. Had no oil on the stick last oil change..seriously getting a little fed up. I’ve been looking at a Diesel!
Mine was doing the same thing before it died. During acceleration there was a flat spot, like it wasn't getting any fuel. Once it got past a certain RPM it picked back up and took off. My engine was very noisy, had a knock on startup, and I also had a detonation problem that could be heard all...
My motor failed 2 weeks ago and left me on the side of the road. I did have to call my own tow truck, but everything else was handled. It sucks because I had a Moab, Sedona trip planned and it screwed everything up! I had to book plane flights, rent a jeep out of Vegas because the dealership...
Engine is loud again, and consuming oil. Looks like it’s going to go back to the dealer again, super disappointed.
I’ve owned a few Jeep’s, and this one is the best.....but the worst.
