Mine is a Max tow as well. As you said, I noticed it most driving through neighborhoods. It seems like its still clunky but it doesn't seem as rough since they flashed it. I'll report back once I get some more miles and driving on it.
the dealer said there was a TB for this issue and that they flashed the computer with an update. They said they couldn’t recreate the problem before hand though.
I still noticed it when driving it off the lot. Since I’ve still noticed it here and there but it does seem to happen less...
Why not run a set of both? On my Wrangler I had before my JT I ran AT tires most of the year and swapped on a second set of rims with Mud tires for when I was going to do any off-roading or hunting. Thinking about doing the same with my new Gladiator.
I have the max tow and have been experiencing exactly what the original thread starter posted. I have it going in to the dealer on Tuesday for Aux switch installation and asked that they take a look at it.
Just installed a Quadratec QRC bumper. Everything about the bumper from Quadratec was great. Easy to reuse the fog light, easy to mount my winch. But the install was a pain because the holes on the Jeep frame were not aligned well and had to be drilled out a bit. There are two pieces of metal...
Installed Quadratec QRC front bumper. Mounted my lights and winch off my old wrangler. Aux switches are being installed at the dealer Tuesday then will be wiring those up.
Added KB Voodoo racks. Works great with my Bestop Tonneau cover. Using the racks to carry our bikes for now. Thinking about adding a roof top tent later
I also went with the Sport S with Max Tow. I’m really happy with it so far. Keep in mind there is a large difference in payload between the Max Tow and Overland. Family with camping gear and towing tongue weight adds up fast.
Didn’t even know they were making a bicentennial plate. Might have to consider that as I’m due to re-register in May. I kept my old wrangler plates when I registered the Gladiator.
Definitely a good point on the paint. I noticed that in the KUKA video just posted. Black hinges on the white bodies before paining. I still might consider pulling of my hinges and painting them. Would be a lot of careful work but my Jeeps not going anywhere anytime soon while I work from home.
