Tough to answer. I use a sound insulation on the hard bits as well. My hearing made the journey from Led Zep to Metallica so this is just my personal take on it: - It IS a bit louder, but not at the level of a cracked open rear window until you hit about 60mph-ish. At that point I’m +2-+4...

Probably not a Jeep Gladiator risk, but I have ruined tires using decorative caps. Once on a car, once a motorcycle. At sustained high speed the (centrifugal?) force of a heavier cap tears the stem off of the tire.

Not exactly what you’re asking for…but this thing that creates two cupholders out of one works quite well once you add pads to seat it firmly. That leaves one of the two built-ins free for stuff...
