  1. Overhead Consoles?

This is a soft top. Top of ruler touches fabric, reaching slightly above the rib ...

Got the power distribution wiring for the radios wired up on the molle rack. Just need to tie the two bus bars into into the aux switch wiring. Then install an antenna and cabling, wire the speaker into the CB, and figure out where I'll hang the microphones.

Weather here in OK has been cool in the mornings, but warming up nicely during the day (50s is nice to us--I know my San Diego resident parents would be bundled up in the heavy winter gear, LOL). Right now I have the OEM tonneau cover on the bed. If Bestop comes out with the full canvas...
  4. Overhead Consoles?

Yes, I was 5'8" back in my younger days. I'm 70. If my dad is any indication, he's about 3" shorter than his younger days at age 92.
  5. Overhead Consoles?

No screw holes; it's a standard molle panel. And it doesn't affect my head room, but it may a taller person if he were to lean over the center console (I'm about 5'7" now).

That isn't going to happen while driving for me. BTW, my manual only has about 250 pages or so. Go figure.
  7. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Mounted a Molle Platform Solutions rack to the forward overhead area of my Gladiator. Dry fitted the comm gear, then drilled and finished the mechanical install for all of it. Still to be done: Wiring, antenna install and cabling. Includes a 2M/70CM ham radio (KG5LXN, general class, in case...
  8. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

To be clear (correct me if you disagree, please): You had a factory plastic bumper, kept the factory steel skid plate for the plastic bumper, and it works fine with your aftermarket bumper, right? I had almost the same situation, with a much different outcome: A factory plastic bumper with a...

My habit is clutch depressed, in first gear, usually foot off brake, and I've noticed my stop-start rarely engages. Haven't quite figured out what I do differently that causes it to engage.
  10. Overhead Consoles?

Here's a better view of the JT install. It takes four self-tapping sheetmetal screws. I didn't care for having to drill the pilot hole into the area right behind the sensor for the adaptive cruise control. There's an electrical connector right there--be very careful. Other than that...
  11. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Yeah, my skid plate with the plastic bumper did not attach to the bumper. However, I looked closely at the picture I linked above of the steel bumper skidplate I ordered and it appears it's the same as ColoradoGlad's. And I have the identical places to mount it--just missing a couple nutplates...
  12. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

For some reason, my JT came from the factory with the correct brackets for the steel skid plate. It did not have the sheetmetal crossmember that is present with the plastic bumper. Yet, it had the plastic bumper. Looking closely at an image of the steel skidplate from BAMWholesale, it looks...
  13. My dry storage solution on the cheap

I bet those work just great. I for years overlanded through some hellacious weather with cheap Sterilite totes I picked up at Walmart mounted on my overhead rack and never had a problem with rain. Now, dust, yeah, that gets into everything, so I did finally break down and buy some Alu-Boxes...
  14. Overhead Consoles?

Depending on what you wish to do with it, perhaps an overhead molle panel would do the job. I have one in my JK to hold my ham radio. In the JT, I have one setting in the garage to install (been busy with other mods). I plan to mount a GMRS, CB and ham radio (2M/70CM) to it. Here's a photo...
  15. Does anyone not regret ordering a hard top when they bought their Jeep?

I'm running around in 20 degree weather here in OKC these past few days and have had no regrets that all I have is a soft top. I don't see weather as a reason to not get the soft top. But I have the premium version, and I have seat and steering wheel heating. And Jeep heaters have always been...

It seems to be quite strong and well designed. Fit with the Zeon series winches is quite tight. As I alluded, Rock Hard does warn it probably shouldn't, but may require a bit of grinding. I'm still puzzling out the skid plate/air dam that I removed along with the plastic bumper. Apparently...

  18. It's an addiction....

I must really be addicted, because I kept the JK.
  19. Thoughts on Roof Lite Bars

I have in my JK. They do contribute to wind noise (though mine don't whistle), but only on really windy days at Interstate speeds. Otherwise, at least in the JK, it's not noticeable above normal noise level. Limiting clearance is obvious, but may not be a factor if you have other parts that...
  20. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Completed mechanical install of OEM steel bumper and Warn Zeon 10S winch. Electrical and install rope left to go. Got winch off craigslist.com. $500 and came with optional Mopar winch hoop. Added Rock Hard winch plate and fairlead adapter for $200. So, $700 spent for $1898 (QTec prices) in...
