  1. Diesel cooling options and ideas

I bet it does! My preference would be a snorkel/syclone like the one AEV makes with a quick disconnect/conversion kit. I don’t want or need a snorkel on 98% of the time but would like to have it as an option for dusty dirt/desert roads. Plus an open port with oem an looking grill in the side of...
  2. Diesel cooling options and ideas

I have the stock intake and inlet temps are typically +3 to 5 degrees above ambient when going down the road. I don’t think any intake is going to help temps much vs stock without a bigger external inlet up front and even then it won’t help much. The AFE does look cool though👍
  3. 3.0 ecodiesel

Wow your humor and emoji are on “point.” You got me with your Jedi mind tricks, mic drop for you. Carry on with the useless pissing match.
  4. 3.0 ecodiesel

These threads are beyond pointless. Fortunately they don’t sell the diesel as an option anymore, fill in whatever reason suits your narrative, and this shit will hopefully fade out over time. Possibly interested in the diesel? Go drive both, weigh out the pros and cons on your specific use case...
  5. Ecodiesel Recall 01A HPFP Parts are Available

Spin the same question around, do you have documentation to prove they didn’t change anything or the NHTSA (once a formal safety recall is declared) has no influence on the remedy? Where is your support? Just because it hasn’t been published to us yet doesn’t necessarily mean that it doesn’t...
  6. Tailgate hinge lock plate?

Mine has it, Feb 2021 build.
  7. am I doing something wrong in snow/ice Winter driving?

Clutchpack or no, with the factory rear LSD I rarely break loose at the rear axle in snowy or rainy conditions on road, unless I am trying to  I will probably end up adding a locker up front one day but will not give up LSD in the rear which has more benefits for me day to day. I don’t...
  8. Am I crazy to buy a Gladiator EcoD to tow my Travel Trailer?

Exactly, most TT of any decent size sold in the past 2 decades come with their own brakes, just have to connect via a trailer brake controller in your tow vehicle. I have never had any issues stopping or slowing while towing my 5k TT.
  9. HPFP Replacement Recall - Post Fix Review

Not likely that they didn’t change anything, doubtful the NHTSA would sign off on that and also unlikely Stellantis would tell the NHTSA they made improvements to remediate the issue and then ship the same old thing. Why would they open themselves up to that kind of legal liability by misleading...
  10. Am I crazy to buy a Gladiator EcoD to tow my Travel Trailer?

Perfect, the rest you can probably assemble yourself on the cheap, then install in your coolant loop using Bulletproof Diesel’s (I misspoke earlier, it isn’t an Insane Diesel kit, theirs is the oil cooler assembly) instructions since they have already validated the approach. If their claim on...
  11. Am I crazy to buy a Gladiator EcoD to tow my Travel Trailer?

I tow a similar size travel trailer all around the Midwest during the peak of summer heat and haven’t experienced issues with engine de-rating whatsoever. The only additional towing equipment I have is an Anderson WDH (small weight penalty vs other WDH options) and the Rampage mirror extensions...
  12. Brand New 2023 Rubicon Ecodiesel want to run 37 need to regear to 4.11 or 4.56?

@Jefe1018 Bit late to the conversation but my Fuelly data is below for reference. My city vs highway mix is usually around 50/50 excluding trips. 15-20% of my highway miles are weighted down towing my camper which is around 5k loaded and not aerodynamic, normally 15mpg +/- while towing. My Glad...
  13. Ecodiesel Recall 01A HPFP Parts are Available

Mine was done in a 1/2 day, dropped off in the morning and got a call around lunch that it was done. No mention of a software update on the paperwork.
  14. Would you buy a diesel gladiator again?

Without question I would buy mine again. I’ve had a lot of little problems with my JT, none engine related, but I’m still happy to own it almost 3 years on and don’t anticipate ever selling it. As someone else already mentioned, the EcoD moves the vehicle effortlessly, happily chugging along at...
  15. I have sad news boys

Thanks for all your contributions, I have enjoyed and learned from your posts over the years. Godspeed and best of luck with future adventures in your new truck!
  16. Fuel pump recall and Banks Derringer tune

No offense but if your Gladiator is currently throwing so many codes you have to reset the computer multiple times per day it is already a shit show.
  17. HPFP Replacement Recall - Post Fix Review

Just had mine done today, can’t tell any difference and all seems to have been put back together properly. Hopefully it is a permanent fix, hard to make up your mind since there is no explanation on what was improved. Until someone tears one down, I suppose we are all just hoping for the best...
  18. Ecodiesel Recall 01A HPFP Parts are Available

My neighbor is a service manager at a nearby dealership and they just received an order of new pumps. Unfortunately he didn’t get the install kits at the same time so they can’t start calling people in for repairs yet but I was excited to hear they are out in the wild now and not just dedicated...
