  1. Approximate spring rates Max Tow vs Rubicon?

Good point about the different spring rates depending on options. I find that fact somewhat poorly documented.
  2. Interesting update regarding 2025 Gladiators

Ramcharger has a ton of potential if the price is right. I’m a little concerned that basically packaging a full EV plus a full conventional gas power plant will be too expensive. I also know there is stuff that can be cut due to the unique powertrain and hopefully that will balance out the far...
  3. Flat bed coversion

I’d be interested if it was cheaper. I put out as many as a hundred round hay bales per year. I have to either tow a trailer or swap to a boring non-convertible truck to do so. A flat bed would allow me to load the bale directly on the gladiator without a trailer which would be a huge benefit...
  4. Interesting update regarding 2025 Gladiators

It’s not bad at all. I have 80k miles on my JT manual and had 100k miles on my JK manual. The JT is vastly better for all the obvious reasons that a decade of vehicle development provides. Is it a world class transmission with a world class shifter? Not at all, but it’s fine, and in the right...
  5. 2025 Jeep Gladiator Order Guide First Look [Updated Monthly]

I believe it got dropped, disappointingly, during MY24 at some point midyear. While rumors of Gladiator’s demise were very premature on this forum (as early as MY2021!) the removed options and pared down lineup don’t bode super great for the mode going forward.
  6. My Mojave Gladiator after AEV lift, 37" BFG tires, Method wheels, LCA, trackbars

Great pics, thanks for posting! I’d like to hear your thoughts on the more ā€˜optional’ aspects of the build (brackets PLUS lca’s instead of just one or the other; track bars; and the wheels. Are the latter primarily for aesthetics,or is there a fit improvement versus stock Mojave? Have you...
  7. "Do I REALLY need to re-gear for 37s?" - Yes. Yes you do.

This, so much. I’m not anti-regear. The gladiator is slow, so any way to add (effective) power is welcome. But I’m convinced I could take these regeared 8-speeds and add a 9th gear and suddenly everyone would lose their minds that ā€œit can’t hold 9th!ā€ No one is concerned it ā€œcan’t hold 1stā€...
  8. "Do I REALLY need to re-gear for 37s?" - Yes. Yes you do.

They are light. As for small, unless the specs I’ve seen are incorrect, they’re within .2ā€ of most common 37s. I’m not saying that’s nothing…but it’s not like they’re 35.5ā€ and the competition is 37.5ā€.
  9. 4xe Gladiator Hybrid (PHEV) Confirmed by Jeep CEO for 2025! āš”ļø

Do you have any evidence of this? Certainly they didn’t say the 4xe WOULDN'T come out early in 2025, but they have been very careful to never say MY25 and they just made their Wranger+Gladiator model year update announcement with very little to sell. If the 4xe was coming soon I’d think they’d...
  10. Changing Front & Rear Differential fluids

Simple question so I figured I’d bump this rather than start a new thread. I tow a lot so I plan to replace with 140 weight fluid on the rear. Since I’m already doing that what would the pros and cons be to running the same fluid in the front instead of 90 weight? If it matters I only go into...
  11. We want to hear from you! - JeepCares

Everything about the vehicle itself is great. A change you could easily make, because you offered it in the JK, is letting us swap to half doors rather than having to buy both sets of doors. I would be very likely to sell my '21 and order a '24 if you offered that configuration. Also you...
  12. Jeep is holding my truck on the shipping lot for no reason

I'm not trying to be a dick, but what Koons "can do" is absolutely nothing. I've met Craig multiple times and really like him. He has a hard job. I get the desire to say "yeah we're doing everything we can to move this along for you" and try and make you happy but ultimately he's telling a...
  13. Jeep is holding my truck on the shipping lot for no reason

What do you think, specifically, can happen to "expedite" the order? Vehicle production is one of the most complex, heavily regulated, and unionized process on the planet. Your Jeep is a number in a database, and that database assigns it to move from one step to the next without any human...
  14. Relocation Brackets vs Long Control Arms

@Lunentucker Thanks for this thread. I confess it’s hard to parse out the core bracket vs arm issue as it seems like both sides are happy with their choices. But that’s a reader problem not a poster problem. :) One question though: am I correct that you’re only measuring 10.5ā€ clearance on your...
  15. 2024 ????

Surprised at some of the EV hate here :) I have no desire to go full-EV in 2023 but given the Gladiator powertrain situation there is a lot to like about any of the PHEV options available. Sure I’d love the Hurricane I6 more but Stellantis doesn’t seem interested in giving us that so an option...
  16. Jeep Releases Off Road Group for Gladiator Sport

What do they say about people who use the phrase ā€œto discredit your argument further?ā€ :)
  17. Jeep Releases Off Road Group for Gladiator Sport

Shadow I know you’re contractually obligated to post in every thread, but I don’t know what a ā€œtop brandā€ is. If it’s by sales or mindshare Toyota would be a ā€˜top brand’ automaker but they’re not a premium brand. Here’s a free definitive list of premium tire brands: *Goodyear *Michelin...
  18. Jeep Releases Off Road Group for Gladiator Sport

To be clear I don’t think 32ā€ street tires are crazy (though given Gladiator’s proportions they’re a somewhat rough aesthetic look). I think it’s a little crazy though to pay $800 and go from a 32ā€ tire to a different…32ā€ tire. And I think it IS a little crazy to pay an $800 upcharge and then...
  19. Jeep Releases Off Road Group for Gladiator Sport

Ah yes, that ā€˜premium’ tire brand of Falken. Consider me put properly in my place.
  20. Jeep Releases Off Road Group for Gladiator Sport

Sure but these are wimpy 32s and you don’t get to sell the factory tires or keep them as backups. What percentage of buyers do you think are swapping out new stock tires for 32ā€ all terrains?
