Thanks. There is a 6" cantilever on that part of the frame going to a 3/8" bolt pivot. It is strong enough to do pull ups on the frame but the panel isn't that strong. I can sit on the frame along the edge but try not to sit my fat hiney on the panel itself. It does fine supporting the...
These aren't the best pics. Some of the interior is still covered in desert dust and some of the panels still have the protective film (Arrows) on them.
Hopefully you can see the larger middle panel is in place with the smaller access panel removed. The length front to back is 89" the...
I will get interior pics but you can see the frame pretty clearly in these pics.
There is a large panel that is hinged at one end. This is the main sleeping area and can flip up to match the roof and creates quite a bit of head room inside the bed of the truck. You can flip that up and have...
1. I built it, but had the help of some fantastic people. Mostly, Dane, who spent the better part of a Saturday under the helmet welding the frame AND commented on my millions of pictures of ideas. And also my father who sewed the tent.
2. I will include some more build shots and interior...
So...
I went camping in my Gladiator last year, had an absolute blast and, decided to pursue some more opportunities to spend time in the outdoors.
I wanted a setup that would be able to fit in my garage, be really quick to set up and take down camp and be easy to use on short notice. In...
My Mojave makes a pretty good thunk noise from what seems to be the front right corner. There was a post on the Mojave FB group and many others confirmed they had the same issue.
It did it when I was bone stock and does it now with the AEV lift. I think its just when it first engages it...
I had e-locker in my JK and loved it. The only complaint is it takes a certain amount of rotation for it to fully lock. But my favorite off-road shop uses and recommends them.
So excited for this!
Either the brackets or adjustable control arms.
I did the brackets and unless you are hardcore in the rocks, they don't bother me one bit. Drives very nice and does exactly what they advertise. Would recommend.
I have not seen them on the front, there is probably a reason for that. A simple spacer kit will move your static height. Some lift springs in front would help as well.
Really good. The brackets are adjustable as far as caster and I have them on the minimal setting. It drives like stock as far as manners. Obviously there is a difference because of the weight and size of the tires but I am super impressed as far as handling, tracking, damping big bumps etc. We...
Finally got the AEV lift installed. Also did their geometry brackets and Teraflex track bars.
Tires are Maxxis Razr AT, 37x12.50r17 on KMC Dirty Harry wheels 17x8.5.
Sounds like they are in production but not in distribution yet. I got some Maxxis tires earlier than most by going to Les Schwab and asking about them. They didn’t have the size I wanted in the system so they had to contact their distributor and order the first available set. Maybe try that...
They drive fine, I like that I get to 8th gear pretty quickly and going up through the gears is smooth and effortless. With these fairly short 37s, I am running 2,500rpm at 72mph. If I didn't tow a fairly heavy camp trailer (4,800+ lbs) I'd go with the 5.13s for sure. If I was doing 38s or...
