  1. Other obsessions and hobbies or other. 🙃

I applaud all you folks who have the patience to do wood working. You are a different breed for sure and its truly an art. My father was a junior high school wood / metal shop teacher and math teacher who had an obsession with everything related to waterfowl hunting. Followed them starting in...
  2. '23 Gladiator Sport S Towing

Dealers charge $125 to recalibrate the tire size. They can only go up to 35's. I had to buy a tazer when I went to 37's last spring. I tow a 22 foot Yamaha Jet boat. I have the max tow and towing it home from the dealer which was 3 hours away, I would not do this every weekend or really much...
  3. Replacement Shocks

Maybe that's the nomenclature thing. They say Fox 2.5" diameter shocks. This was from the Mopar website. Other Names:Suspension Kit Description:Jeep® Performance Parts 2" Lift Kit has been developed by Jeep® brand engineers and off-road enthusiasts and allows you to use larger tires. The kit...
  4. Replacement Shocks

Maybe he meant he had the mopar 2'" lift that comes with the Fox 2.5 shocks? I'm in the same boat. 2021 with just over 60K on the Fox shocks. I think where I get confused as they say they are fox 2.5" shocks but when you google fox 2.5 shocks for gladiator, those damn things are crazy...
  5. Re-gear from 3.73 to 5.13

Maybe he was talking about 11 parsecs like in the Millennium Falcon :-) Hell, my old 2007 awd trailblazer SS with a tune and other mods would barely hit low to mid 13's in the 1/4 mile :)
  6. Rock/salt chips in hood

Had the same issues with chips on the hood. Filled them and painted them and installed a aeroskin (AVS) ventshield II on almost a year ago. Still looks good today. Just like the bushwacker, it seems to be a good quality item.
  7. What ages you or makes you feel old?

Transferred from a junior college to Michigan Tech in 1991 for a D2 school to play DB on the football team. Now at 55 years old, I don't even know if I could run a 6 second 40 yard time. Best time was 4.56 back in the day.. HAHHAH Getting old sucks!
  8. Gun guys (and gals)

I was finally able to source a original WW1 BAR forend and stock for our OOW BAR A3. My son did a WW1 doughboy impression over the Christmas break at Greenfield Village. Also, I was able to replicate a WW2 "in theater" modification by certain Marine units with a vertical foregrip for added...
  9. Wicked pop sound

I had a similar issue back in 2023 (truck is a 2021 picked up in Oct 2020). Had a popping noise that only happened sometimes backing in and out of my driveway while turning. Here is a picture of the RO. They couldn't find it during road test but put chassis ears on the truck and detected the...
  10. 2 inch lift

Still running the 4:10's. I had the dealer install the Mopar lift and gave them the 35 inch tires and qtech retro wheels along with a adjustable front track bar and Mopar fox steering stabilizer to install before i ever took deliver of it with 4 miles on the truck. I ran the 35's for over 50K...
  11. 2 inch lift

Mopar 2" kit which is more like 3+ inches on a Max tow with 35's Grabbers and 37" BFG
  12. White Gladiator on Tracks

This was posted on our local county FB page today. Evidently, the comments said heading to some Ice races on one of our local bodies of water here in SE Michigan. Pretty darn cool. Wonder if the owner is on this page?
  13. Need advice on roll-up or tri-fold tonneau cover for Gladiator

I've had the Rugged ridge tri fold for 5 1/2 years with no issues. They are actually made by Xtang. I like the rugged ridge one i have as its a premium twill fabric that matches my soft top then the actually base vinyl cover. The $129 version says its a matt black fabric, so that is a bonus if...
  14. Lost TPMS sensors in the cold

Was driving the jeep today and all of sudden my TPMS light came on. Lost 3 of the 4 sensor. LR showed 34 and the other 3 showed a dash. Its cold. -5 here without windchill. Drove another 15 miles and my Right front came back at 35 but the other 2 were dashes when I got home to the...
  15. Saw 15.3 volts today

Papa, if you remember my issue when it hit 15.0V and higher yet the voltge at the battery was still 12.7 / 12.8, that pack of 3 battery cables on the positive post and terminal closest to the firewall was ever so slightly loose. Tightening that cable took care of all those gremlins I had with...
  16. Rubicon vs Mojave boat towing

Using 4wd on a slippery ramp will be your friend. Our water levels are so low on the Great Lakes, half the time my exhaust is in the water while loading and retrieving the heavy boat, and its never had an issue on slippery ramps pulling it out.
  17. Rubicon vs Mojave boat towing

I've hauled a few boats with my 2021 Max tow. 24 foot pontoon's and a 24 foot tri-toon, 18 foot center console, and 2 years ago I bought a 22 foot twin engine jet boat with a wake tower. Its a big boat for a 22 footer, total weight is about 6000lbs. Everything but the new Jet boat was easy...
