Same thing here. No idea what it is, and just rolling with it. Nothing has changed it, not fuel octane, not oil viscosity, not oil catch can, not teraflex crank ventilation system (all of which developed leaks, but that's another story).
No rough idle or engine performance problems, just get...
I absolutely love my S-Type if you were considering that. They nailed the tone and sound level if you're looking for clean sound but also want to hear the exhaust a bit, volume wise. Great balance and i'd definitely buy it again
I don't intentionally, although when i use the spray as a drying aid, some inevitably gets on the mirrors, cowl, bumpers, fenders, etc. and it does fine. I like to use the old regular mothers back-to-black on bumpers and fenders. I used mothers ceramic version on those once and it didn't turn...
Still a no-option sport S badass here, lol.
But seriously, every time i say "i'll never" i always end up doing.
So i'll never buy a porsche 911. Ever. Never ever
+1 for AEV. Love my saltas
But also, Quadratec makes oem replicas in 8.5" wide if you want a factory look. Filter Quadratec brand wheels on their site and they've got a few options
First jeep was an '88 XJ that i broke a ball joint 1/2 mile down a trail and had to haul tools for a field-repair to drive out in 2wd. Was HOOKED from there!
Then
'99 XJ with long arms and swampers
'04 nonJeep (ducks)
'06 XK
'05 WK
'06 XK
'20 JT!
I like the function of my teraflex quick disconnect kit, and it isn't expensive, but it does put my front sway bar at an angle (links too long) even with a 1.5" front spring spacer and effectively stiffens it. Not a huge deal, but the jeep would probably drive/ride marginally better if the bar...
Some re-use the gasket and some do not. I was looking at both the AEV and Teraflex covers. The AEV covers re-use the gaskets. The Teraflex covers do not. Probably need to check each manufacturer individually
I got mine mostly for insurance. Nothing should be hitting it, but wheeling all day over hundreds of rocks and you're bound to not see one, lol
The diffs are the lowest "important" thing on the jeep. Some form of protection there is a good idea in general
