I think you should go with a 2 inch leveling kit on the front and run it as it is. 33s with a winch and leveling kit will be more that capable of what you're looking to do with it. Fab up a skid plate or buy a Rubicon one if you find think you need it.
Well, I joined the club last night on my way home from work. I was being a courteous driver by merging in between two semi trucks to let traffic pass on left, heard a ridiculously loud crack sound and immediately saw a crack forming near the top middle. I called up my insurance today and...
I've had mine for a month now, and I've seen about 6-7 different ones since then, which is odd to me because I live in a pretty small city of 60k people. Saw a back lifted one in my neighborhood on my commute to work yesterday and saw one today as well. The week before, I had a silver sport s...
If you want to keep your tires and wheels under the wheel wells as much as possible, you'll want to keep the offset and backspacing as close to factory as possible. If I remember correctly, factory specs are +44 offset and 6 backspacing on 7.5x17 inch wheel.
So depending on how wide of a tire...
The second Jeep I ever owned was a 93 YJ. After I got it home I went over it really good and noticed a crack in the frame at the rear near the bumper. Upon further inspection, I found that all four corners of the frame were filled with dirt and causing the frame to rust out badly. After the time...
I like the look of those black factory wheels. Much better than the silver aluminum ones that came on mine. They also still keep the tires under the wheel wells so you're not running around looking like the Big Foot monster truck.
Installed the Daystar 1.5 inch leveling kit. Took about an hour and a half using the hoist at my work, and that was with putting it all together and realizing I forgot to install the shock extensions so monkeying around with that again. Oops
On to bigger tires and better wheels soon
Looks good! I've been trying to find a wheel and tire combo that keeps the tires under the wheel wells like the factory wheels, but I may have to accept some tire sticking out or just keep the factory wheels.
They are nice covers for sure. I think people who have issues with leaking aren't sealing the bulkhead. The seal that comes on the cover just isn't enough by itself
I finally got around to putting a cover on after 2 weeks of owning the JT. I went with a Literider because I like the extra height compared to the Lorado and it's a bit less expensive.
I install a lot of these things and if they're installed correctly and taken care of, they work really well...
I really like AMP power boards but they just don't hold up to the salt and snow on the roads where I live, even with washing them and keeping them clean. Also, I hate that the lights are not optional, those tend to corrode pretty fast as well, and I'd rather pay less and not have them.
The only way I can see that being totalled is if the frame has been tweaked up pretty badly. If it's not totalled, I'd at least request that the body shop uses oem parts to fix it.
Probably not rebranded, but made in the same factory. An overwhelming amount of vehicle accessories are manufactured in the same place and slapped with different labels for different companies.
This is especially true for stuff from China but also happens with USA made products.
