That looks finished. Is that hard material and useful as a workbench, or soft and better for seating? I have Bedrug (and LINEX) on my tailgate for sitting. But I realize I have reduced workspace.

I genuinely admire people that can actually modify material and equipment like this. I have attempted to "Macgyver" electrical solutions a few times with decidedly mixed results.

Here is what the Adventure Offroad Outfitter guys actually did. It’s not exactly the kit Terraflex ultimately sells: P/N 1375300 - JT 3.5" Spacer Lift - Utilized front swaybar links in the rear. - Utilized 2" worth of rear bump stops (1.5" upper, 0.5" rear pad). - Utilized front 2" bump stops...

Mounted the Teraflex "Mojave Special" 2.5" lift and NITTO 37" (37X13.50R17) Ridge Grapplers (emphasizing 13.50 as opposed to 12.50 for extra burly). So, total lift is approaching the 4" mark (not accounting for tire size) due to the Mojave rolling off the line about 1" higher than a Rubicon.

With this configuration it is the best of all worlds.
