Nice looking rig! How does she handle the weight in the back? Are you runnin any mods to the suspension? My rig is similar, but I haven't upgraded mine with the exception of a 1" lift and air spring(bag) in my coils. I can't seem to find a heavy duty springs and shocks.
Hey westcoastfle. Nice looking rig! I have a question. On your fourth photo, you have taken a picture of the the back of the canopy where it meets the back of the bed. On the corner, the canopy sicks out, maybe 1/8-1/4 an inch. Is that the case? When I had my Gen 1 installed mine was the same...
Cool pictures! For the front seal, I ended up using black colored outdoor sealant to close the gap. I applied it from inside the bed while the cap was on. It took almost a whole tube and I smoothed it out with my finger. I never had any water or dust intrusion after that.
OK, I admit it... I'm getting jealous of all you Gen 2"s Everyone's rigs look GREAT! I'm still waiting for my ship tracking from Rhino. I also thought about mounting Rotopax on the side doors. There is a Taco online with them mounted on the side doors. I believe its a Photoshop job. I'm not sure...
Your right. The air springs on my suspension help with the weight. I looked at 80/20 but I found a good deal on the Pioneer rack and I made the purchase. When my Gen 2 gets here I figure out a better low profile option. I just don't think the preexisting holes will line up exactly with the...
I ended up drilling my own holes. Rails on the canopy were too high with the towers and a rack. I ended up drilling into the far sides of the canopy to get as low profile as possible. A roof top tent up there is very high and top heavy.
I guess they didn't fix that issue. When i had my Gen 1 installed, we cut that flange off to allow the canopy to slide towards the cab. At that time the whole canopy was sticking out over the end of the bed. It needed to move forward about a 1/4-1/2 inch. I'll probably cut it off again. We tried...
She looks great! Now all you need is a few hoses and a couple ladders! Really though, nice rig. You'll find the canopy is very functional. Definitely follows the lines of the truck better than Gen 1. Can't wait to get mine. Be Safe.
Can't we all just get along? One love? Each member contributes to the team. A squad is as good as it's weakest link. Rubicon-rocks, Mojave-desert, Overland-overland, Sport-Tow(road travel), etc.
Thanks for the invite. Your caps look good. I am wondering how you side doors will do with a roof rack on top. The way your doors open doesn't leave a lot of room for a low profile rack. But I'm already paid up with RLD. Good luck, its cool to see folks developing products for the Gladiator.
Who ever gets there cap installed please, please take detailed pictures. At least we don't have much longer to wait. I have to admit the RSI caps look good. But so did the RLD ones when they were mocked up. Time will tell. I can't wait to get my gen 2 cap on.
