  1. Fuel Tank Capacity

Starting with my third fill-up, I've been consistently able to put in over 21 gallons. I manually track every tank of gas in a spreadsheet, and the numbers don't lie. My AVERAGE fill-up is 21.769 gallons, and that's after about 55 tanks. This isn't a fluke. It definitely requires patience...
  2. Gorilla Glass. Yes or No?

ShadowsPapa, I don't doubt that's what your contact told you, or that maybe they had indeed installed GG on a Gladiator with ACC - but I received different information from HPG's own Customer Service guy back in late August of this year while shopping for windshield replacement options. He was...
  3. Pulsar 42452

Before heading north, I'll need to figure out / fund / do a tire and maybe gear swap first. You could undoubtedly make it run much better even as it sits with 3.73's and minivan tires, but that's not the goal. I definitely appreciate your willingness to help!
  4. Pulsar 42452

Pulsar has (apparently) recently released the 42752, which is for 2021 JT 3.6L engines. PULSAR 2021 Jeep Gladiator JT | Superchips I've been keeping an eye on these for a while, after initially reading about @KurtP 's positive experience. Now that Kurt's review isn't so good, I'm not sure...
  5. Enough about the ESS ! ( Auto Start Stop)

There's an even easier "fix" for ESS, at least when heat isn't required. I leave my Climate Control temperature setting on "Lo", and ESS is never enabled.
  6. 4th Windshield Cracked... Windshield Protection Film?

I applied the Racing Optics film after fixing a couple of chips in the first few months of ownership. The film worked pretty good overall and did take some hits, but I would still note: > It won't protect against "serious hits" (using Hipbilly's terminology). See photos, which was with all 3...
  7. Anyone tried windshield treatments to stop cracks?

I had a rock chip the size of a dime back in February (~3 months after delivery), and installed the Racing Optics film right after SafeLite did their fix. Overall the film worked well, and it took a few hits without visible marks - until last night when something fairly large and metal spun up...
  8. So what did you name your Gladiator?

I was thinking about naming mine after the other name for an Overland - "Nojave"
  9. Gasser real world fuel economy

2021 Overland, manual trans, HT tires, pretty much bone stock. It's currently displaying 23.2mpg as of this morning. On my old Ram I knew that the truck's avg. mileage was taken over the last +/-350 miles, but I'm not sure what our JT's use. 70% interstate, 20% rural 2-lane, 10% city...

After 13 weeks of waiting, took delivery yesterday...
  12. Took Delivery of Your JT? Sign in Here!

Ordered 9/19, took delivery yesterday (12/19).
  13. Am I nuts for waiting 2 weeks to take delivery?

Dave Sinclair CDJR, Pacific, MO. About an hour southwest of downtown St. Louis. If you need more info, let me know. They were OK on their deal before the Employee Pricing incentive rolled out - certainly not as low as some, but I prefer to do business at the same place (been dealing with the...
  14. Am I nuts for waiting 2 weeks to take delivery?

UPDATE: Received an email from the dealership, offering to absorb the tax hit if I would take delivery in 2020. Yep, I'll do that... 11am Saturday, I'll be picking up the long-awaited JT - 91 days, or 13 weeks to the day, after it was ordered. Dilemma solved.
  15. Am I nuts for waiting 2 weeks to take delivery?

I had the salesman send me a photo of the odometer. 14 miles, after their PDI test drive. It had BETTER have about that many in 2 weeks except for a run to the gas station. They knows me too well though. I like the look, except for the all-season tires. That was a mistake.
  16. Am I nuts for waiting 2 weeks to take delivery?

They seem to be OK with it, at least from what I can tell. I've bought several vehicles from this salesman going back almost 15 years now, so there's a relationship in place already. They basically had their choice of absorbing my tax hit, or a 1/2/21 delivery. We both chose to wait. I...
  17. Am I nuts for waiting 2 weeks to take delivery?

Thanks for the replies. Santa has never brought me something as nice as a JT before, so there's not much chance of doubling up. For the foreseeable future, he had better start boning up on accessories though. Missouri does charge Sales Taxes on vehicle purchases, as well as the personal...
  18. Am I nuts for waiting 2 weeks to take delivery?

OK, so here are the particulars: > Ordered my JT on 9/19/20 > Just arrived at the dealership 12/17/20, which is 89 days after ordering. Missouri allows assessment of personal property tax on vehicles, and I've calculated that my 2021 personal property tax for the JT would be ~$660, or roughly...
  19. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Oh, I get it, and agree... but that wasn't my point. It appears that an attempt was made to erase the part number. Perhaps the shop hasn't done any of these and didn't know (or hoped the owner wouldn't check) there are still major tip-offs that they didn't replace the box? Maybe I'm just too...
  20. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Is it just me, or does it look like someone tried to wipe off the label with solvent or something to make it illegible? The last few digits of the old/original part number are 8449AE. That's still readable on the label. They did not replace your steering box.
