At just under 1600 for the lift kit, including 4 Bilstein reservoir shocks, it’s not clear to me why it’s such a terrible option. When I look at the alternatives, I find a higher starting price without shocks. Once I add shocks, the alternatives are much more expensive. I’d argue for...

Yes, you can roll up and clamp the cover. When fully rolled up, it slightly brushes against the front supports. 👍

Didn’t know it was just springs/shocks… thx for the info! I’m a fan of the red shocks, FWIW. Still a nice way to gain a bit of height on the cheap, and room for you choice of skinnys. 👍

Have you considered a Rubicon or Mojave take-off suspension? They seem to go pretty cheaply. Also, my experience is tall, skinny tires are best in snow. Like MT Baja Boss LT255/85R17. This combination should work well together. IMO.
