  1. Most common tools needed to work on the gladiator

Just torque it down to one quarter turn befor you break it. This tried and true method has served me well.
  2. Windshield Poll: Regular OEM vs Gorilla Glass Durability

I drive lots of gravel oem non gorilla glass no cracks. I do get more hits now that I put on a lift and bigger tires. I attribute that to more wheel poke. I am curious to the wheel setup of the people who have cracked windshields. Because even the tire tread makes a huge difference in the...
  3. WDH question and front vs rear sag

Most important thing to remember is not what you can safely pull, but what you can safely stop.
  4. Why a gladiator might not work for me.

Easy solution is to get rid of kids. But if you can fit it in what you have now, I would be surprised if you can fit it in a Gladiator. But I have a feeling you like what you have now so the real question is do you want to switch. That question is one you will have to make. I do believe the...
  5. Warning, bad gas mileage with Borla s- type exhaust

Do you feel that you got any power increase?
  6. Another Weekend and the EcoDiesel Gladiator is back in the shop...

The big downside for tier 4 engines, all that compliance crap they put on them make those engines pretty finicky. Had a Ford diesel that rarely ran without some kind of light on the dash, even the Cummings engines in the semi love to throw code and use antifreeze like crazy. Apparently a...
  7. I need a winch, but why?

Yeah befor for I had the big recovery rope me and my bother got pretty go at making long log chains into two short log chains.
  8. I need a winch, but why?

You can also go to a Ccrain rigging store, had them make me a 50 ft rope rated at 125,000 pds for pulling out stuck combines and tractors. When I was there I saw that they had I inch rope already made up for pickups. Reasonable prices. They will also fix rope for you there. My bud works for...
  9. CB radio is dead. Stop installing them and get a VHF/UHF instead!!!

I farm and deliver grain with a semi, cb radios at on ti e were required for the check in process now everything is electronic check in. Have not used my cd for years. If it was in the way I would take it out.
  10. lets talk air hoses

Get some dot push in fittings and some dot hose. Good enough to use when stopping semi trucks. Flexible abrasion resistant and you can cut it to any length yourself.
  11. Both Batteries Dead 2020 Gladiator $898 to replace!?!???

The stupid shit engineers do sometimes blows my mind. Countless times when fixing very simple things in very unsim0le place on my tractor and semi makes me lose it. Trying to shove a transmission filter between the drive shaft and frame then turn it 90 degrees and try to screw it on blind with...
  12. 6 MT and cruise control

Because when I pull them out they always say had the cruise on , and it just spun out on me. I pull out people all the time. In the winter they are slick alot. The dot hits us last here.
  13. 6 MT and cruise control

I must be one of the few that never uses cruise. I feel it let's you get compliant and not engaged with the driving. It amazes me how many people use it on the short trip from my town to the next town down the road, and go in the ditch because the use it on slick roads.
  14. Oil Cooler idea.

It will probably not work. The tier 4 engage designed to run hot. That is why they have a different oil standard. Your thermostat also opens at closes at a higher temp then a non‐tiered engine. My advice would be to not worry about it, it is simply running how it was designed to run.
  15. iphone car mount

I agree with the full mount looking nicer. But there isn't alot of space in the jeep to put stuff. I didn't want to give up the whole tray up there.
  16. iphone car mount

Just installed mine today. I bought it only for the drivers side. Excellent quality. Not sure there is a better quality one out there.
  17. Got rid of the butt ugly 4 wheel drive retro tailgate decal

Just go to the Shaffer site and find out your closest dealer. I love Shaffers products. There gear oil has may self propelled sprayers hubs running g way cooler than befor I use thier oil.
  18. Got rid of the butt ugly 4 wheel drive retro tailgate decal

Same here. Took me a whole day to desticker my semi and trailer. They have stickers ll over. The best product I have found for sticker residue is Shaffer Citrol. That stuff is amazing my son had to retar a grain bin and had lots of tar on his jeans, it literally removed all the tar and...
  19. Shorter bed now available

Just my opinion but with thar little of a bed why not just make it a extended JL. I would be far more interested in a JL with that much rear cargo area. Build the seat5to fold down flat and increase the endorse power and I would e first in line to by one.
  20. Has anyone successfully gotten a dealer to flash their PCM for non-dealer-installed parts/accessories?

Team Auto Group Denison Iowa. The parts manager had me give him my Vin and part number befor I showed up so he could get the computer entry done and in the system befor I got there. He told me that it is ony a 20 minute job and that is all they billed out.
