  1. Purchased 2020 Gladiator Rubicon/New to Forum

Welcome to the club. Being rid of the aux battery is a blessing. I took mine out and put in the biggest main battery I could fit. Connected the aux battery positive lead of the main battery and start/stop works most of the time. A simple restart fixes it if it stops working. The aux battery...
  2. Well, it wasnt the lifter tick I thought it was (Updated)

73,000 miles on my 2020JTR LE and no issues yet, knock on wood. I did add the Baxter oil filter upgrade a long time ago though. Once added the start ups were noticeably quieter. Part of me hopes something fails as I love the idea of the AMW 5.7 :)
  3. Winter rescues of stranded drivers...

I’ve helped several drivers stuck in the snow over the years. A kinetic rope with soft shackles seems to work very well. In every case there was no need to pull more than very gently. This includes pulling a pretty buried in the snow Suburban out that belonged to a friend. The key is finding a...
  4. TPMS Light After Installing 35x12.50R17 Tires

Most Jeep dealers are very accustomed to seeing Tazers. None have ever complained about mine. The Tazer mini has many great features. You should definitely correct your tire size, the shifting will be much improved.
  5. Oil leak at block near engine ground? Anyone have similar? What was the repair?

if indeed i It’s probably is the oil cooler. Don’t replace it with an OEM plastic one. There are a couple companies that make aluminum replacements. While you’re replacing it be sure to service plugs and anything else in there that is nearing its life span. As its significant labor to get in there.
  6. Well, we have TPMS for our Gladiators so, what about the trailer?

I have an off-road trailer running 37s and can do a 7 tire rotation as the wheels and tires on the trailer are the same as on my JTR. This also give me extra spares. Although in over six years running KO2s I have never had a flat. The problem is the computer gets confused and picks up the...
  7. Aux battery delete now issues

I pulled the aux battery, replaced the main battery with a slightly larger battery and connected the wire from the aux to the main. Did this over a year ago and everything has worked perfectly since then. I did not pull any fuses.

  12. The 3.6 Tick Bites Trail Recon at 31,000 Miles

I canā€˜t say for sure it helps. But I definitely noticed quieter cold starts on after install. And I’m pretty sure it don’t hurt.
  13. The 3.6 Tick Bites Trail Recon at 31,000 Miles

I installed the Baxter Performance oil filter adapter on mine a while ago. It keeps oil in the top end unlike the stock filter that drains everything into the pan when the engines is off. This eliminates the couple seconds with no oil on the rockers on start up. About 65,000 miles on it now and...
  14. swap out 37 inch tires for a better ride

Drop brackets for the control arm can make a huge difference. They should be close to horizontal, some lift kits don’t compensate for this.
  15. swap out 37 inch tires for a better ride

Don’t all wives run the show? Some rule more subtly though.
  16. Aux battery delete help!!

Generally, I’ve always liked the ESS system, except when the aux battery needed serviced. It’s accessibility is let’s say, not ideal. Now if there is an issue, dealing with it is much simpler. I have a 100 AH lithium ion house battery to power the frig/freezer and other add ons. It’s charged...
  17. Aux battery delete help!!

I kept rereading your post trying to figure it out until I realized it was humor. And you are correct, it’s been really boring since I deleted the aux POS battery. One thing you were wrong about though, my ESS still works just using one battery. I keep it turned off much of the time, but use it...
  18. Whats is your opinion the jeeps engine stop start system?

I love the option of having the engine shut down at long lights, etc. I hate that they buried the battery and made resolving the infinite number of issues with the system difficult to deal with. Many of us donā€˜t drive our rigs frequently enough to keep the batteries in the top condition required...
  19. Custom Aux Switch Buttons

    Nice work!
  20. Drag Link at 22k?

Every stock JT or JL I checked has the issue. I guess it’s OK with Jeep. I replaced mine with a MetalCloak one because I donā€˜t like clunks. The alignment shop didn’t like it either.
