Just wondering what owners are seeing for real world MPG with nothing in tow? I see posts from Glad owners with standard 3.73 gearing getting lower 20's in all around driving and I'm just curious of what kind of MPG to expect with 4.10 rears and slightly higher unsprung weight (Sport std...
The flash updates should have all been cut-in to the factory builds at this point so it'll be interesting to see if the problem(s) persist with the 21's.
Used Jeeps were crazy high (too high) over the summer. Ask me how I know. :) Sell prices may start to come down a bit as we move deeper into fall/ winter and people start looking more at Cherokee type SUV's.
A lot of it is timing. When I originally contacted them they wouldn't move off MRSP, less any rebates/ incentives. Then I was checking sell prices on Trucar and submitted a RFQ through the site and they came back with an offer $3500 under MSRP minus any incentives that applied. Go figure? I went...
Back to the original topic. If I were the OP, I would trade it for a 1/2 or 3/4 ton Ram w/ a V8 (vs. max tow), to pull that load with any regularity or for anything more than a very short distance. Even if it's under the GCWR, that engine will struggle.
I've built and priced various config's on the web site and I couldn't find a corresponding tow capacity - but hey, my eyesight ain't so good.
This is perfect - thanks! Why can't Jeep just include a similar tow capacity table - by model/ type on their web site and don't clutter it up with all...
Jeep does a poor job with specifying the tow capacities for the various models, power trains and option packages on their web site. The only numbers I can find for the Sport S is with a manual trans., 4000# or max tow (w/ auto - which is the only trans available) @7650#. Based on other threads...
I really like the Sting gray when I saw it in person. I was originally going with red but rethinking that now. Notice yours has the body color fenders. The S I looked at had the black.
So I have/ had an offer in hand from a local dealer for a 2020 Sport S with Max tow, auto, hard top, etc.. MSRP is $46,255. Sell price is $40,230. Dealer discount is $3,525 plus cash incentives of $2,500. Then add back a $399 dealer doc. fee for a total out the door cost of $40,629. Most dealers...
Got two in the mail in the last week and both are applicable to 2020 Gladiators (I checked a dealer). One was a $500 labor day bonus cash promo directly from FCA and good until the end of Sept.. The other was $500 from Trucar. I used their site to get quotes on a 2020.
Not to hijack the thread but just so I understand correctly, the steering rack TSB 08-074-20 replaces the current alum steering unit with a steel design? If that is the case, then all new 2021's will come from the factory with the steel unit?
