Same boat for me. I ordered 10/13 and truck was built and shipped to storage (status JS) on/around 11/30. It has just been sitting there since and Jeep Chat nor dealer know why. I agree that it is very frustrating seeing other forum members who ordered later than me receive their trucks before...
my order with Chapman is still stuck in JS status. I am going to check in today to see updated ship date. It was supposed to ship on 12/17. No window sticker yet. I am thinking it will be middle of January by the time I can pick it up. Hopefully no longer than that.
fingers crossed here we are all on same truck. Ashlie told me 12/17 last week. I am trying not to bother them too much and only check in for updates on expected ship dates.
I ordered from Chapman as well and checked in yesterday. I am in JS status also with estimated ship date of 12/17. Originally my ship date was yesterday, 12/7. I fully suspect that you are right that all of the Chapman orders are being held to ship together.
I checked in with Jeep Chat and was told the following good news: "I can see your order has completed the build and has been shipped to storage. This is either to wait for room on a rail car or it may be receiving additional inspections. It should ready to ship out very soon!"
I am going to...
I checked in today and still in D1. My estimated ship date is still 12/6.
1) Order date- 10/13/21
2) date you moved to D1 (with an estimated ship date)- not sure date it officially moved by dealer told me it was D1 on 11/6
3) Model/Trans (i.e. Rubi, Manual)- Willys, manual
4) as you move...
I think the Jeep website still only has 2021s because that is what is on dealer lots. As soon as you advertise the 2022 and dealers only have 2021 it becomes really hard to hold MSRP+ on those "leftover" jeeps
I think its pretty clear from all these ship dates that production must start next week. I can't see how Jeep would put out ship dates that are before they even plan to start production. Would make no sense.
I think your theory/source makes perfect sense. It is only logical to assume the VINs are sequential and based on some coding system. I just am not sure they could have received so many orders in just a few days. I guess we will see how it plays out. Here is to hoping we are all in our trucks by...
The last 6 digits of my VIN are: 105969. I am not sure that hangs with the theory of the last 6 being the order sequence given my order was placed on 10-14-21.
I think there is still a lot of uncertainty around the start build date for MY22. I have read/heard everything from them being built along side the remaining 2021s (since no actual change) to November to even December. I ordered on 10/13 and would be nice to have some sort of factual confirmation.
I'm not sure where we could get that info. However, there are a few cool videos on YouTube of the production line. It is hard to tell with the video editing exactly how much time each build takes but seems as though they can make a lot each day.
