I didn't drive the Jeep today, but will try and snap some more photos tonight when I am changing its oil.
I am 6'5", the fridge is the small ARB classic 37QT. Even with Goose Gear's taller Gladiator Seat delete, you can move the see all the way back and recline. With the fridge right there...
So far I like it. I have about 500 miles on the suspension already. I will probably change out the shocks in the future for some adjustable bypass shocks like Falcon or OME BP-51s. The front shocks seem like they could just a tad more rebound dampening. The front springs seem just about perfect...
You could, and I know that it's a bit overkill to have an iPad. I have a full range of DSLR gear, but also find that I use my iPhone a lot as a point and shoot. So getting out of the jeep for a quick photo would be easier if the phone was just in my pocket or cup holder vs fumbling with the Ram...
Think I will, just so I have the option to flat tow my YJ if I wanted. All Gladiators with the diesel come with 3.73s. I am just torn between 4.10s and 4.56s. I have heard someone is working on a 4.30 gear set that would be perfect for the diesel.
They are really nice, however, if you have a larger foot, they might not be deep enough to use a step. They are a true rock slider however and are engineered to really take abuse so you won't find anything out there much stronger.
Hell, I could feel mine bottom out over our large neighborhood speed bumps stock. I installed a 1.5" Teraflex leveling kit for about 3 weeks after the ARB bumper was installed then the full 2.5" suspension after (and removed the spacers). The leveling kit should help big time.
With the Tazer, I already turned off the Auto Start/Stop. And because folks have had issues with the little battery killing the larger battery, I figured I would just eliminate the system to remove that risk of being stranded. And last, I have been using Odyssey batteries in all of my Jeep for...
I was torn between this bumper and ARB classic stubby (one of my favorite bumpers). But because I commute 70 miles a day, over a small mountain pass, and it's dark and rainy here during the winter, I really wanted to retain the factory fog lights. Plus, this bumper is more suited for animal...
Long story short, I have been a Jeep guy my entire life. After driving and wheeling a Gladiator for work, fell in love with the platform and when I test drove the diesel, I had to have one!
I didn't want all the bells and whistles, but I knew what I wanted. The shortlist was:
- Sport S
-...
For work, I have off-roaded and road driven a lot of miles on the 3.6 in both JL and JTs (and 2.0T) and think all three Jeep JL/JT motors available are great. But the first time I drove a diesel, I was in love with the torque so I went with the diesel. That's after months of watching the 3rd Gen...
I just hit 3k miles and currently just under 50% on the def tank after it being completely full when new. I drive all highways 70 miles a day including a 1400 ft pass. So maybe that has to do with the low consumption compared to others?
This is gonna go on the "nice to have" list. Have lots of "need to have" items to check off first. Which you didn't have to get the iDash since I already have Scangauge.
You are right, I don't want to get in a pissing match. But it pisses me off when bad information is spread on the internet and the gullible people get scammed. I mean you must know more than me, I only worked there for 17+ years.
Hopefully, the admins kill these threads because likely, ARB's...
Wow..where to begin.
First off, the ARB medium and twin compressor are made in ARB's factory in Australia, not China. Second off, I personally know the engineer (actually a Canadian living in Australia) who developed the medium and twin compressors in....you guessed it Australia. And a lot of...
Lots of similar products on the market, I personally have an iDrive on mine based on personal experience on other Jeeps. Others have other products, they all seem to be good. In my opinion, it does make a difference. I switch mine from eco mode during commutes to Automatic when I am driving...
I worked for ARB for 17 years up until last October. This is why the few brackets ARB offers are designed for outside of the engine bay because the engineers don't want the added stress of the heat being generated by the engine. That being said, my YJ, the compressor is under the hood, but the...
Nice! Of course, I just installed a Scangauge and idrive, which both features are essentially built into the banks. Too bad, they weren't able to add a "turbo-timer" for cool downs.
