I set up a pulley system under my deck. I was able to lift the top up onto the roll cage while sitting in the back seat. From there I used a rope to hoist it above the Jeep.
Guess there are too many threads on this topic, I’ve already added a rack to a canopy...

This is designed for a fork mount, but might be able to adapt for a 1up. It looks like a solid front connection, I’m guessing there’s some play in the rear mount.
Awesome, thanks. I've been wanting to side mount a couple of trays like that and wondered if a bracket would be stiff enough. I've got an Overhaul HD, but not the SideBars, so I was hoping to just use the rail.
I wouldn’t recommend using just the rail for an attachment point. Mine is also...
Can we get some close-ups of the brackets?
Just a flat piece of 1/4” with a tab welded on to bolt to the rail. I had to extend out 8” from the truck so the pedal wouldn’t contact the topper.

Congrats! PM me your address and I'll send your prize. Mine is due to arrive at the house on Tuesday. That's a pretty close race considering the boats were somewhere in Asia when we made the bet. The red on red looks good!
Loaded up one side of the rack with close to 1/2 ton of PT for work...
Paddle boards on the other side for when work is done. One year in and still loving it!
The shop is in NH. It’s about $2000 for the trailer pictured above and another $2000 for the cap.

I recently came across a local guy who builds off road trailers. Below is an example of one he built. I really like the idea of the topper on there for dry lockable storage. Super handy for safe tool storage when I'm on the road for work, and also great for extra capacity on the family...
