I drove a Tacoma for work for a little bit and I’m glad I did. I was looking at one before and a lot of things changed my mind.
The doors sounded so cheep when you shut them. Reminded me of an old plastic saturn.
The trans was awful it never did what I wanted It to
The interior left a whole...
I wouldn’t put it in my truck but hey if you want to spend 400 on a cold air intake for a Jeep or just the 100 on the filter who am I to judge.
I’d be willing to put money on the line that the factory filter assembly and filter will out perform anything including the mopar performance filter...
I think the general public would be amazed at how much stupid testing goes on in an OEM.
Air flow benches are run for years with filter designs
Oil filters are tested
Seats are simulated someones sliding thousands of times, doors are slammed shut For months on end.
And this is before the...
I may just be. Unless we were talking a snorkel its not worth touching the factory filter.
And like you I like the piece of mind of grabbing the old dirty filter out of it and placing a fresh OEM filter in it.
I work in automotive testing for a OEM and if there was a relatively cheap way to...
I had one in my old jeep wj. Doing an oil analysis on it with and later without you could see more contamination in the oil with the k&n. That was enough for me to never use one again
Honestly I don’t really need it. Where I work there’s free places to plug in a block heater in the winter. And driving a manual trans I don’t have remote start. So it’s nice when walking out of work to have a semi warm engine.
I was questioning if anyone has put the mopar block heater in there 3.6 after delivery. I purchased the truck down south but now going home it would be nice to have.
You haven’t made the mistake yet. The mistake is when you find all of the accessories and products avalable for it.
Just empty every pocket or hide your wallet sounds stupid until you realize you’ve spent 10lk on accessories
Update after calling numerous times today and getting a busy tone. I finally got at least put on hold. After two and a half hours I got through with someone. He stated that there support emails are at least a couple of weeks behind.
While I was able to cancel my order finally its been too...
this might be stupid advice coming from someone who’s actively trying to sell a rubicon stock suspension., But I’d just go for the two inch lift kit., Its the same amount of work. I get your saving a grand but it sounds like it would fit your needs better.
