I think it should be a recall because it is unsafe! An embarrassing thing happened the other day. I was doing 42mph coming up to an intersection near my house. There was a car sitting in the middle right turn lane. As I approached I hit a manhole cover and the jeep swerved and the wheels were...
Mine agreed because they installed the Mopar lift, and alignment. I'm still surprised they decided to do the repair. They originally acted like I had no idea what i was talking about. After driving it they agreed it needs the new box.
I seriously don't understand how they can order the new steering gear, yet can't get the bolts. Shouldn't the bolts and everything be included as a kit? Crazy.
Tried watching some YouTube videos the other night. The audio and video is waaayyy off. Wtf is with that? I haven't tried using an auio cable yet. Perhaps that will fix the delay?
Well well well, after waiting for an hour the service manager walks over and says, "ok sir, these parts are on order and they actually will be available much sooner. Maybe 3 weeks. It's your steering box. We'll call you."
Amazing!! Very happy.
At the dealer. Said only 2% of Jeeps are affected. Most are fixed with a steering stabilizer. I call bs. They are testing it now. Said parts are 6 months out...i still say bs.
Question. I recalibrated my speedometer a while back, but I don't have anything plugged in like a tazer or anything. Do I still need to reset to factory defaults? It didn't change any of my settings. They shouldn't be able to tell.
No because it's not a recall. The dealer should be aware.
Customer "Hey my steering has been all over the place, and has a lot of play."
Dealer "Hmm...well looks like there's a service bulletin for that. We'll fix that for you!"
In reality you'll want to print out the documents and take them...
