  1. Current opinion of the Bronco?

Pops sold Ford vehicles for 57 years at the same dealership. Started there in 1950. Salesman of the month every month since the award was introduced there except one. We talked cars, trucks. He told me the only sales he ever lost were to Jeep. This was during the run of the original Bronco. Did...
  2. Gas mileage is concerning..

The so called jack rabbit start is no longer an issue. The problem was carburetors with accelerator pumps and overly rich metering. EFI these days is much more economical with acceleration.
  3. Do We Have a 4 Wheel Parts 4WP Rep Here?

It has been my experience that of the problems described, 4WP is not the only vendor with employee's incompetence. This started decades ago with the "every one gets a trophy" just for showing up and managers chosen from the same stock. The idiot genes are passed on at a far higher rate than the...
  4. Windshield Tint % to go with?

Impressed with the VKool products and windshield approved.
  5. Anyone interested in an experiment?

Thinking in round numbers, Ethanol produces about half the energy of gasoline so it will take twice as much to do the same amount of work. Your mileage per tank is less with ethanol blends. How's that E85 working out?
  6. 2024 Tacoma (4th gen) prototype breaks cover ?

The designers today seem to be having a race to ugly.
  7. 2024 Tacoma (4th gen) prototype breaks cover ?

Rear drums, if set up properly, can be less prone to lock up. Just enough braking to keep the rear end behind the front. Who needs ABS?
  8. Is LED package worth it? OEM vs Oracle output?

Halogen bulbs can be replaced with "Hyper Yellow" items. I have this mod on 3 of the motorcycles and the signage at night really jumps out of the darkness along with better/deeper overall illumination. As a bonus, a lot of cagers see me in the rear view and move out of the way. Remember the old...
  9. Off-road For Beginners…

Or is that trail and error?
  10. These outrageous "dealership" fees?

"...since the atmosphere is already 78% nitrogen. I was walking out the door when they conceded..." Another American who paid attention in school!!!! Good on ya.
  11. Test drove a new Ford Maverick

So, is this the bic lighter of trucks?
  12. Removal of Sway bar links?

WD(water displacement) 40 is a solvent and may help with corrosion and water removal. Wurth Rostof is the best ever for me with PbBlaster a close second. Marvel Mystery Oil has a peppermint scent for a reason. If you are frugal, mix some ATF and peppermint oil and apply drops with a wooden...
  13. Dead Gladiator

Women always want that last word no matter how far off topic it goes.
  14. Where have the standards gone? Dealer complaints etc.

I would bet most folks are working a job they have no interest in. The paycheck is what matters.
  15. Who’s making the first Gladiator Squared? edit: not portal axle related

The surplus military one is still my favorite
  16. Dunno 'bout this one.

Over the years I have commented to the SO about other folks' idea of style. Hopefully, she has been paying attention. If you like it, good on ya. If not, do not prolong the agony. Way too many decisions made based on feelings instead of logic.
  17. Dunno 'bout this one.

    Woosies.
  18. Mojave shock end cap screws rusted

People interchange them but don't know the exact definition of either one..... OK.... End rant by the Mechanical Engineer.... Seems some folks mix up engine and motor as well along with spelling errors, mostly with synonyms.
  19. Water fording newbie

Kids love to play in water. Seems all it takes for the inner child to bubble to the top is water and a Jeep.
