Didn't it take a while a year or two ago for the Tread Lightly Discount to get sorted? I was going to email Tread Lightly and ask but saw on the website this little blurb which I assume means they don't know what's going on with it either. I'm going to go with FCA has everything jacked up and...
When did color become standard? I thought black was standard on everything but overland. I think high altitude or whatever it is also comes standard with color.
Front are thumb screws that go through existing holes. Pretty much all plastic to plastic except one little metal tab on the body. Rear is a big beefy bracket.
The other day when I checked inventories, the dealership by me had 3 in transit. Now they only have two on the lot an none in transit. I'm wondering if the third got shipped somewhere or if there's another Gecko rolling around here. That dude/lady is gonna end up getting me in trouble.
I've never seen a Nacho Gladiator on the road. Think I've only seen 1 Punk'n. So far I'm the only Gecko I've seen on the road. See plenty of white/black/grey/red gladiators but anything else is relatively rare around here, like maybe 1 of any of the other colors. Wranglers is a different...
Any chance that ranger is stick? I'd probably still be happily driving my 98 ranger if the frame didn't get bent. Had the 4.0 V6 in it so it was fun and an incredible little truck. Hell, if Ford hadn't fucked up the new ranger so bad I'd probably be on that forum instead of this one.
3 or 4 years ago I got tired of chips/dings in my bumper and cracked windshields. Deciding factor was when a chunk of concrete put a huge dent in my hood. The JT sits much higher than the GTI did but follow the 2 second rule and you'd be amazed how few rocks actually hit you.
The hardest part is always running/hiding wires. Add a fuse, some solder or crimp connectors and some shrink tube is all it really takes other than running the wires. I've never hardwired anything in a jeep yet but every other vehicle I've owned over the past 30 years, it's always the same.
Where are you guys mounting the front and rear cameras? Typically I'd mount top center in front and rear but not sure that's a good idea in a jeep. Do you just lose the rear camera with the roof and never fold down the front?
I checked sports car, I guess that's the closest thing in the options. Didn't want to let her go until I saw/drove my JT. Hopefully someone enjoys her because I wouldn't anymore.
I don't have it yet but do see where it's rubbing. Going to cut the hole bigger tonight.
Would think you could fix it by cleaning up the rust, prime and paint it with a rattle can.
I watched the bestop videos on install and figured I'd take it one step at a time because I wasn't going to remember them all. Opened the mopar box and it was all assembled. Get someone to help stick it up there then 2 screws each side and two screws in the back. Took 15min max.
