Bit of an update: I spoke with Yakima's Customer Service and determined that the bedrail adaptor kit is not designed to be used with the Gladiator Bed Rails and instead should use the clams. I removed the rack and reinstalled it without the bedrail kit and its very secure, and honestly cleaner...
I'm looking to do the same thing. Might fore go the fuse block because I don't want to drag it thru water. Wondering if theres a possibility to locate the fuse block in the tailgate behind a panel. TBD.
Yes that does. I went ahead and did the Yakima Overhaul HD with bedrail kit. Not going to worry about covering my bed for now as I've come to the conclusion that if theres anything of real value I'll lock down with a python cable. I'm confident that it would have work to put the Tonneau Kit...
Very pleased with my newly installed Yakima Overhaul HD rack. Used the track adaptor kit for the Nissan/Toyota and utilized the Toyota parts to complete the install. Very solid. Can't wait to put my 4 person Tepui tent on top and camp this weekend. Next project is a fridge wiring for my...
nicely done.
I'm working on the same thing. How did you adhere your fuse box to the frame? Did you find a gromet for where the battery cables go into the frame?
How did you wire from the battery to the access panel. I'm going to hook up my fridge back there with my ARB wiring kit, but I can't make sense of where I should be routing the wire. Thanks in advance. Nice set up.
I'm still not convinced that the Truxedo t-slot system wouldn't allow for the Yakima Tonneau adaptor to work. I'd love to see someone try and save me the work haha.
I believe you'd need the Tonneau cover kit which has feet to address the lip on the outpost HD. Are you planning on putting a rack on? Just curious what your longterm plans are. I live in AZ as well and spent alot of time looking at a Bak or TruXedo Sentry/Armis covers but now I'm leaning...
Are you considering putting a Yakima Outpost HD on your tslots? I'm very eager to see someone do that with a hard rolling cover, because that's what I want to do and mount a smaller RRT.
so I’m getting better at answering my own questions now. From what I’ve been told the Truxedo Sentry CT (pictured in my original al post) and the Armis from RR are the same cover. The Armis cover mounts on the top side of the bed and would prevent using the rack.
So to anyone who has more experience with racks than I do, can you help me understand why a TruXedo Sentry hard rolling cover wouldn't work with a JCR half rack. I know the JCRs work with the Access Literider, but the TruXedo seems to mount in a very similar way and could be used in tandem. Am...
