Wow a new member and an old timer, posting almost instantly together. Awesome.
Good luck with your crappy Jeep. HVAC system is right out of the Stone Age. ;-)
I have wondered about this too. It would be nice to plug it in when it is not in the Jeep. I was looking at the input a couple of weeks ago when I reset it and I thought I saw a marking (didn’t have my reading glasses on) that said something like 16 volt input. I imagine a person could find...
OK, then there is the real world and the world we wish was real. Living in the real world is hard. Binary decisions rule. In fantasy land... well anything we want can happen. I know we are getting ready to experience an economic disaster. So, in that world. Authoritarians rule. We will if...
We have a lot of hydro here too, but coal is still a giant portion of US electric supply. According to the USEIA 62.7% comes from fossil fuels. Of that most comes from natural gas and coal. Nuclear is about 19% which is the next largest portion of the supply, hydro And wind make up the most...
Whatever brainwashing you have gotten, I feel sorry for it happening to you. Miseducation is a horrible thing we are doing as a society.
The fleet of electric airplanes flying everywhere right now is simply awesome, too bad they are all part of the Martian Air Force.;-)
I think Tesla’s are cool... just remember what powers most of our electric grid. Good old Dinosaur bones. Coal. Dirtier than refined gasoline by a long shot. Then the stuff that goes into those batteries it is so nasty and dangerous, that words can’t describe, and when the car is done...
Again, the logistics of batteries are not just standardization. The damned things are heavy and nasty things. They are far more dangerous corrosive and anti planet that good old fossil fuels ever were. Heck the planet created fossil fuels. Batteries are chemistry and electricity combined...
Any idea how much the batteries in say a Tesla Model S weigh? From what I can find on the internet it is somewhere north of 1000 pounds. I don’t know about you, but I would be uncomfortable trying to swap it out at the filling station. Not to mention for the car stability they put them sort...
So, not sure what has changed, but when I took the speaker out of the truck. I pushed the power button for about 3 seconds and it powered up properly, and worked perfectly. Same thing happened Sunday. I didn’t have to reset it either time. I haven’t plugged it into any computer so I don’t...
My guess, and I haven't had quite enough time to convince me exactly what is going on. My guess is mine charges when it is not in reset mode, then when it goes into reset it doesn't charge. So far I have to reset it pretty much every time.
So, if my memory serves, you wanted us to show exact pages telling you how something works, and if we didn’t we were completely liars... Can you please show documentation that shows the dealer doesn’t know why you have sporadic HVAC?
BTW, how many people posted for you to take it to the...
I haven’t used it enough to call it a complete POS, but I got it out the other day, had to reset it and it worked so it obviously charged. I didn’t use it long enough to have a clue about any other issues. I do think they need to fix it. May only need some sort of firmware fix.
My wife was driving her Mercedes SLK a few years ago, when a dumbsh*t in a Ford F-150 ran into her while she was stopped at a light. He had no drivers license, but he did have an State issued ID that said non-driver. So, we paid for it ourselves rather than file a claim since we tend to have a...
