Try zip ties and see if that works…I believe mine said JL as well but from what I understand are the same mounting locations as the JT for this step. I highlighted your pic to show you the hole location you are going for.

Have you looked into the MORE steps…they are a little pricey when you buy 4 but you can buy a single for now for the wife and add more of them later if you want. I did it for my kids in the back and they love them. Lowers the step up 11 inches...
