Got the 35" Kanati Terra Commander RTX tires and. BDS 2" Leveling Kit installed a couple of weeks ago. Really love the look. Bought the JSCAN to update the tire size and found that I could turn off the turn signal error check. No longer getting the error signal from the KBD fenders. Also...
Max Tow originally came with terrible 245/17/17s. A friend gave me his brand-new Willys KM2 255/17/17 take-offs a few years ago. Recently added the inner fenders and KBD fenders in preparation. Finally time to upgrade... to Kanati Terra Commander RTX 35x12.5x17 and installed a BDS 2" Leveling...
Thought people might enjoy this, so here goes....
Prelude:
I use AI a ton at work. I've had several occasions when I knew it was providing me incorrect information, so I use: CoPilot, Gemini, and even Grok when I feel the need to cross-check the AI systems to ensure I am getting the correct...
I saw the Kanati team at Jeep Invasion/Pigeon Forge TN in 2024 and their series of tires looked great. My KM2s finally expired so I bought a set of Kanati Terra Commander RTX in 35x12.5x17. Having them installed Tuesday. Going to start a thread for mine once installed.
Curious to know your thoughts after purchasing the Clear Lidz top? I have a line on one that was supposedly used one time for $500. Anythnng to worry about? Seal issues, whistling? Anything?
Thanks!
uConnect doing uConnect things, man. There are time when mine won't connect to BT, other times when I get black screen for 30 sec before finally loading.... I restate my opinion- saving for a Stinger Horizon 12.
Previous to my JT, I had uConnect in my Challenger. Absolutely HATE the uConnect system. My last system got so hot that it literally leaked the glue substance between the touchscreen and the digitizer TWICE. I had to but a replacement stereo through Infotainment (I believe out of Tampa, FL)...
Only use touchless once a month in the winter. Never any leaks. Hand wash the other 3 seasons every week or so with a simple rope mop and soap mitten. Takes 15 min and can get into any nook and cranny without issue. Way better than any touchless.
Imagine how often you'd have to fill up driving a box down the road with a Hemi V8 and a 17gal tank... I get 16mpg city as it is.... I'd be lucky to get 9mpg. The more I think of the fantasy, the more depressing it gets. Hard pass.
True: we'll never know... Even if they were to make it, they would only be making it in the Rubicon. No way they would make it in a Sport... The Wrangler Rubi 392 is $81K.
I used to think the same thing, but it would probably cost upwards of $85K. At that point, I'm thinking it would be better to keep my 22 JT MT and buy a used V8 truck to have both. The JT is on such a small frame compared to a full-size truck and I'd rather have a roomier interior with that...
