Retired. Finally !!
For reference, the original Mud Pie, the 1954 Willys M38A1 on the right. Unfortunately you can't see where some G.I. painted Mud Pie on the windshield frame. I bought that 1953 CJ-3A for 250 bucks when I was 17. Bought a gallon of military surplus semi-gloss OD green and painted it with my Mom's Kirby vacuum. I kid you not. Kirby vacuums back in the day came with all sorts of attachments, a paint sprayer was one of them. This pic is circa 1978.

Having spent 20+ years in the Army, I can relate to your posts @Mud Pie. Dad was part of the first boots on the ground for Korea in June of 1950 and had just turned 19.

Since my dash idea was too shakey(not giving up on it, just putting it to use until me and @WILDHOBO brainstorm a final solution) I went ahead and installed my @WOLFBOX Mirror in the standard position. Ill wire tomorrow and start planning my back window/roll bar mount for the digital rear view. Painting my trailer this weekend so might put the trailer cam on it this weekend if not itll be next.

Also rode around with the Freedom panels out today. 76° and sunnnny.

Looking at getting the G850Pro. Interested to know the results of wiring and how you like it!

I know you asked Shibby but I’ll throw my $.02 in here. We’ve been running 2 TriPros for a couple months on 2 different vehicles and they’ve been outstanding.A couple screws worked loose on the 4Runner but not a huge issue. They give you extra. As far as functional we have had no issues outside of camera adjustment on either unit. They’ve been frozen, rained on, and scorched in the sun and still work as expected.

Loaded up the truck to head to Atlanta (EchoPark) Motor Speedway tomorrow.

Leaving sometime between 3 and 6AM. Whenever I decide to peel myself out of bed 😂

Enjoy. I went to the night race last year and the first race of the playoffs the year before. Will not be there this weekend but may go to the race later in July. Enjoy and safe travels.

Its the G900 Tripro I won from @WOLFBOX !

Wiring wasnt too bad. Since I already have a front cam and the factory backup cam I am doing it a little different. I have one cam temp mounted to my roll bar, long term goal is to 3D print a mount to put it in the rear window glass for the rearview view and when I take the top off have a mount for the roll bar to keep its function as a rearview cam topless. The other cam I am Mounting to my M1101 Camping Trailer build so that I can see behind the RTT that blocks my view when I pull it.

I have a buddy with a wrangler that told me he also had some screws back out while offroad. So I went in and orange thread lockered the screws. Not too stronger but enough bite to prevent backing out.

Good idea. Wifey is having some wobbles in the 4Runner so that may have contributed to it. Another thing to run down this weekend.

Reference the cross drilled , my uncle used to own several older hotrod cars 64½ mustang, 71 dodge charger plus a few AMC products. And He told me when I was going to get new rotors NOT to get cross drilled. He said they dont have near the lifespan of OE style.
So I went with powers top brand OE style
10k miles and all is well.
Criss drilling can also pick up small rocks/gravel that lodge in the cross drill holes and catch on the pads, tearing up brakes, so that's another reason to not use cross drilled rotors on off-road vehicles.

I can't take credit for this - one of the nicest guys I've met came all the way from CO to help with the underside wire runs on my JT tonight. So now the cables are run all the way into the engine bay where I can properly terminate them and have power to the Anderson connector back there, aux connection to back up lights and USB charging ports in the bed.
That wildhobo guy stopped by and finished up after finding out I got actually physically sick laying under a vehicle and working.
My wife met him and her first comment to me after I came back in the house "he sure seems like a really nice guy" - yeah, he is - one of the best.

My wife had a bad fall today and her arm is possibly broken but we won't know more until tuesday when an orthopedic shoulder expert can see her - due to her handicap, she can't feed herself, get a drink, brush her teeth or even get dressed - her only good arm is in a sling.
Otherwise I'd have offered a spare room for the night. I forgot to ask if he would like a quilt to take back home with him - Barbara is trying to find homes for a couple and thin out the piles.......
Sorry to hear about your wife's fall, Bill, that sounds like a real hardship for the two of you!

I am absolutely EXHAUSTED. But, it's what marriage is all about, not just the fun, perfect times. 3 days after surgery, the neve block is wearing off and she's in a hell of a lot of pain at times. Literally unable to get in and out of bed without help, even in and out of a recliner.
On the other side of things - there won't be arthritis in that shoulder when all is said and done!
I asked the doctor if it has a lifetime warranty or any special instructions for grease or oil - he didn't get it. Oh, well.

I measured from the top of my JT's RSE steps to the floor - 20.5" and then her new Rubicon JLU from the top of the power steps to the floor - sure enough - the new Rubicon X JLU sits 2" higher than a non-X Rubicon JLU. So it will mean stepping up 2" higher than before.
