Expensive but the RockSlider steps are the way to go. Door opens and steps come down. Also you can take it off when you sell the vehicle if you get another Jeep.

Note I have 35's on the stock Mojave suspension.

the RSE steps were transferred from her 2023 Rubicon JLU to her new 2026 Rubicon JLU.
We'll never own a JLU or JT without them - although it will be weeks before she can even drive...........on the other hand - it will not get salt on it this winter!

Added the passive entry kit to my truck, driver side only. My wire harness had a break in it somewhere and I lost the ability to use the lock and unlock button for a while and figure while I was swapping that I should add that feature since it wasn’t much more work, everything went as planned, and got it activated with the JScan app. Very happy to have that feature and my door lock switch back.

I put a tonneau cover on Gladys and narrowly avoided frostbite as it was below 20 degrees! But it looks good and only gave me a medium amount of hassle to get installed.

Does that one only open about half of the bed?

Retired. Finally !!
Well, yesterday I finally put on the rock slider side steps, replacing my OEM rock sliders. Verdict ? "Eh.". I put them on for my wife and Mother-in-Law, I'm not a fan of steps or running boards, but that's just me.

The ad claimed they hugged the body better than the competition being they are curved and not straight. Laying on the grass, yep they sure do have a curve. Mounted, I still see a sizeable gap. Sizeable enough that it annoys me (if I didn't have the factory sliders I wouldn't have known the difference). The (poor) instructions call for the brackets to me mounted on the outside of the pinch seams (with a 14mm bolt going up into the tub, 3 anchor points). Maybe today or tomorrow I will put the brackets on the inside of the pinch seam to see if it tightens things up a wee bit. The rails/steps were heavy, but quite easy to put on.

All of the bolts/lock washers, washers that install under the vehicle were raw steel. Rust magnets. Before install I shot them with a couple coats of black Rustoleum; ward off the rust gremlins for a little bit. All the other hardware that can be seen was already painted black.

The steps were sturdy, I'll give them that. They don't stick out all that far and they don't hang lower than the body frame. Two good points.

Now I have to just remember TO USE THEM. Yep, been hopping in and out like they aren't there.

But I only dropped $177 bucks for them, I can't expect TOO much.

I may still opt for the power steps......

No, it’s a hard cover tri-fold from Rough Country so the back 2 sections fold all the way back on to the 3rd fixed section behind the cab allowing pretty good bed access.

It locks fully closed too, and also locks with the back 3rd open, so is pretty flexible over all. I’m happy with it, and got it on sale too.

After the basics like, rubber mats, window tint spray in bedliner, and manifold burrito heater, I'll be looking for a tan drop top that collapses to the bed and/or half doors. Whichever comes first.
Can it heat tamales, or do you need to buy a set of MOPAR corn husks for it to fit?

I mean does the thrid panel not lift up? Looks like there isn't a rear hinge.

Oh gotcha. No, the third panel is fixed but removes with 2 thumbscrews if you want your bed fully open again. Pics below of 1/3 folded back and locked and 2/3 folded back and locked.

I know it does on the bakflip. He has an RC that looks like the third panel is permanently down.
Gotcha. Didn't know if you asking because you were looking for one or what. I had one like the RC on my last truck and that front panel stayed down. Lost some bed usage so I went with something different on the Gladiator.
