I agree with you. Although I feel like if Stellantis can devise a repair that’s just barely good enough and leverages the existing clutch (like the previous software update), they’ll do it. However I agree with you that it’s probably very difficult to leave any of the existing/flawed parts in...
That would be amazing. I’ve driven a manual for a long time but I feel like I still have some trouble driving the manual in my JT, where I’m a little hard on the clutch sometimes because the pedal has such a light feeling.
I doubt they’d replace the entire clutch but we can hope!
I have Sting Gray, but I wish some better bright colors were offered. If they brought back Gecko Green or offered something like Mojito or Bikini, I’d buy any of those colors.
I wanted to like the current yellow that’s out now but I didn’t like it enough to buy it.
You can negotiate on used Jeeps, but you probably won’t be getting a huge percentage off of the asking price like you can when you order new and use the affiliate code + incentives.
I bought my 2021 (used) earlier this year and negotiated about $3500 off of the price. But it was a 2-week...
Did you follow the break-in instructions after having the regear done?
I know when I had mine done, I had to put on a certain number of miles in 2WD and drive it in varying conditions a couple times. Then had to take it back to the shop at about 500 miles and have them check it out and they...
I would consider the hard top, even though I know it adds to the cost. Only reason is this — if you reallllly want the soft top, it’s easy to find/buy a used one and/or buy a Bestop or similar. I think it’s more difficult to find someone willing to part with a hard top if you decide you want...
The 2008 Wrangler had the 3.8L V6, which is not the same as the Pentastar in today’s Gladiators. People sometimes call it the “Chrysler Minivan engine” because it was used in those for awhile too. Only reason why I mention this is because I have a 2007 Wrangler as well as my Gladiator.
Agree...
Just got mine, so it has only been to:
Colorado
Utah
However my 2007 JK has been to:
Colorado
Utah
Wyoming
South Dakota
New Mexico
Arizona
Nevada
California
Same. I ”built” a brand new one with everything I wanted and talked to a couple of dealerships about ordering. The MSRP was $67K, but even with under invoice pricing (affiliate code, etc), the price was still high. I found a low mileage used 2021 Rubicon instead, with every single thing I...
You know, it’s funny… I clicked on your link, saw the Jetboil and thought “that looks nice” and then totally missed the detail about Nescafe. I guess I got sidetracked by nice gear!
Either way, I think instant coffee might also be a solution to the original question instead of trying to find a...
I wonder if you could find a small travel kettle to heat water to boiling and then use instant coffee? I know instant coffee isn’t everyone’s thing, but I actually don’t mind the Folger’s instant, like this; IMO it’s actually pretty good considering the price.
This thread took a weird turn, jeez.
Getting back to the original joke/point, it is interesting that Ford can take such a loss on the business unit devoted to EVs, yet still remain profitable overall. I guess it really is all of those folks paying $100K+ for Broncos keeping them afloat. ;)...
I wave and I usually get a wave back. When I don’t get a wave back from a JT, sometimes it’s a rental so in those cases, I’m guessing the driver doesn’t know about the Jeep wave. In Colorado, rental cars have a red (fleet) license plate so that’s how I know.
I bought my JT already modified...
Just wanted to add a +1 to the previous post. Just had my Gladiator with the 6-speed MT regeared. I have a Tazer and the process outlined by Tazer (to do the full reboot, turn the Jeep on then off, then drive between 40-60MPH in 6th gear, then two sleep cycles) did not stop the ESS error...
The previous owner of my JT had a Pedal Commander. It wasn’t included in the sale but the only reason why I know is because the glove box had some stuff in it related to the Pedal Commander. Not sure how it worked or if the owner liked it, but I haven’t seen it mentioned on this thread yet...
I think it’s a great color, but who knows? I saw a JL in Bikini on my local Subaru lot, here in Colorado, when I drove by yesterday. Just in case you’re anywhere near here: https://www.autonationsubaruwest.com/used/Jeep/2020-Jeep-Wrangler-denver-178b376f0a0e0a9a7948ff16e2528309.htm
Admittedly, I don’t use my JT to tow often, so I don’t use a controller with it. However, when I had a Tacoma, I had to mount a Tekonsha and run wiring for it. That’s all, was just extra hassle, and I mounted it in a spot where I bumped it a lot with my knees.
The Ram is nice because you plug...
