Its labor intensive as others said to get the texture sanded down. May be worth while to sell the textured top and buy painted top and color match. If your going with Gator exterior, a textured tan top may provide good contrast.

good points. multiple jeep / FCA family here. trims from sport s to rubicon; and hard rock parts can be obtained, need to be mechanically inclined. to start with base sport s and build; cost can not only exceed rubicon trim but may become 2x your jeep that you started with.

if you like driving by pressing clutch and selecting gear; nuff said.

its like ssn? I hope I didn't give wrong impression here. Despite brand loyalty; have no affiliation with Jeep/FCA. 1) in my mind VIN is like SSN. we all have a number. 2) what happens with that number once created??
